i apologise if this is the wrong place to post but im intending to sell off my bike but im kind of a super noob here. would greatly appreciate any help on these questions. thanks in advance.

 

if im selling to someone, what are the steps to be taken and how? e.g transfer of ownership, payment. and i would prefer to get straight cash.

 

just a noob here so id wanna know the steps to take to sell off a bike on this forum and not shop. thank you ppl.

firstly do u have any outstanding installments with the bike shop? - very important point to consider

Bro firstly post ur details of your bike and expectation price and do let plp know if its fully paid or need to COI.

 

transfer ownership at LTA can be done once the new owner has purchased the insurance for the bike after which you can cancel your own insurance.

payment wise its up to the both of you how to be reimbursed yourself

so the new owner has to go and buy the insurance first then only can the transfer be done?

 

and how does refinancing works if needed? i can just ask potential buyers to find their own right?

new owner buys insurance first, produce the cert at lta during the transfer, and after the transfer can immediately ride home..

if no insurance can choose to lay-up the bike with additional paperwork/costs involved?
