Excuse my ignorance but I'd like to hear a few opinions. I am new to naked bikes - especially because of the raw looks and my dislike for plastic "wrappers". Here's the question, as soon as you buy a naked bike you are encouraged (and some owners do) to dress it up with belly pans, rear huggers, fly screens...

Does that not defeat the purpose of having a NAKED bike (looks wise)? What parts woud you recommend to actually fit to protect the bike - a rear hugger and a radiator kit for example seem to make sense - to me as a novice.

Thanks!

j.

i'm not speaking from experience... but generally... naked bikes.. you can just let your creativity run wild. do what suits you best and what you think looks good. as long as you're comfortable who cares right? its your naked bike afterall. no 2 naked bikes will look the same. thats the best part about naked bikes. experiment. have fun!

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

thrasher - true point and I agree. My thing is, what would be "must have parts" to protect the bike. I am looking at an already dressed up model that I would dress down and am considering which parts to keep (belly pan, fly screen - the later definitely not!)

The alternative would be to be sensible and buy a Super four...
