hi guys, i have a problem with my k4 600. wonder if anyone might know what's the issue. My idling will drop to near engine stall level when its hot like 90 degrees and above. The bike have no problem while moving, it becomes an issue eg. while waiting at traffic junctions. When i try to move off, i have to keep it at above 2.5 to 3rpm to prevent it from dying. And to add on, between 1 to 2.5/3rpm, the engine rev seems to be choking, anything above is fine.

Yes i have tried increasing the idling to 1.3, the problem still exists. Send to workshop to do top overhaul, valve clearance, specifically telling the mechanic about my problem.

Appreciate any insights or suggestions from fellow bikers...

did u juz add electronic kit or did any adjustment to ur wireing? eg: voltmeter, change bulb ...

the key hole where i put my key in to start my bike.

on the top layer would be a metal piece.

for my bike, the top metal piece can turn 360 degrees if i use just use the tip of the key to turn it.

 

is it normal?

That is normal.. It is meant for long period parking and scared water might drip in and cause rust.. Correct me if i am wrong

databse access and cgi programming...uhmm...i did it 11 years ago bro...now dun think i can help u nuts...all thrown down the drain of brain liao.

just go online for tutorials and modify codes to fit ur application bro.

It's a anti insert toothpick etc etc device...

 

You know some ppl like to insert in toothpick to jam up the hole thus rendering it useless..That's the main idea of the cover..I always twist it around whenever i park..

Met a k8 750 rider today. So was like talking about each other bikes and looking around.

He got a full system and bmc air filter installed .

when i start his bike, his bike idling sound is something like those supercars.(like those lambo/ferrari idling tone but not loudness)

 

where his idling sound will go up for around 2 sec then down for 2 sec and is constant thru out.

something like high high low low high high low low high high low low high high low low.

 

so i thought he installed high cam or something.

but he told me he didnt and that his mech balance and tune his injector to produce such sounds and only with after market exhaust and air filter can do this.

 

but i was just wondering any heard of this? and does it improve performance?

it is gd...that means his bike is tuned well, the bike will breathe better, gd pulses. in a way to put it, ur bike might not necessarily be much faster or louder or more agressive, etc...but it will give u what u need when u need and how much u push ur bike. that's why if u change exhaust etc etc...and u dun tune ur bike properly...u get things like backfiring etc etc....if u sync ur bike well it'll breathe better.
