It is a big risk doing the high rev run in in sg.

So tow to 2nd link best.

 

wX, Why not get the bike at a later time where u really got the time to do the hard run in?

Can wait for a week rite?

 

Wait for a week more can lead u to a longer happiness.

 

MC28, i know of someone who did his hard run in in sg expressway. I believe that there are more ppl out there who do this.

U just got to plan ur route and timing.

 

No matter what wX, the 1st 32km u got to do it the hard way.

But do take care.

This is my hard running-in route-of-advance...

 

Defu Lane -> Old Tampines Road -> TPE -> SLE -> BKE -> KJE -> PIE -> exit to Jalan Bahar -> LCK runway road (u-turn) -> back to defu lane in reverse order

 

Then go back my shop change oil, ard 35km total, juz nice.

 

But those were the days b4 the dragon prince ascended to the throne. Nowadays with a new Ministar of Home Affairs in place and the TPs out in full force to earn their Christmas bonus... hard running in can really be a dangerous affair... :giddy:

yeah the first 32 will be doing it the hard way, but prolly not the rest ba... we shall see lar~

The way i interpret this "motorman" hard run in method, only the 1st 32km running is supposed to be done this way. Supposedly to "seal" the piston rings..

 

The rest of my run-in was done using the normal RPM-limit method.. according to uncle Bobokik who rides a G1, he interpret it this way and ran in his bike like that also... How to possibly run in all 2400km using hard run in? One of these days, uncle TP will surely catch u in action... :giddy:

Even cheong oil filters cost $12 minimum leow... i must get 1 or 2 myself..

kopitiam oso fine, best can view bike from kopi shop. park in 1 bike group dun wish bike gana disturb or accessories gana kapok.

hey guys, i haf a problem wif my engine oil. i using fuch silkolene pro 4 15w-50 oil. when my engine is OFF, the oil level is between full & low. but when the engine is turn ON, the oil level drops to below low..

 

how huh? this is the 1st time i using tis oil leh. can u guys check whether the oil u r using oso like tat?..

 

help is appriciated..

Itz normal.

 

When u off ur engine and it cools, all the oil will "settle" down and thus giving u a top level "full" reading.

 

Once u on ur engine and the engine oil cycles, the reading will no loger show "full" leow..

 

Datz why the correct way to read the engine oil indicator is b4 u start ur bike for the day. :goodluck:
