since 98 till now, yamaha has been producing in-line engines for R1s unless u are talking about their GP bikes which is using V5 ...

yamaha 4 stroke GP engine was inline 4 all the way..

V5 is honda la bro haha. think u got it confused..

for 2007 yamaha GP bike still inline 4 i think

honda using V4 engine..

V4 and v5 engine Mean Wat AR....

I read BOok is v4 lei

Which e BEst v4 or v5

V4 engines are just like RVF, meaning that 4 pistons, 4 cylinder ...

Engines are moving in a V position with 2 on the right. 2 on the left and the purpose is for pick ups. In line engines are good for long distances. Rotary engines is small in cc, but very powerful and fast like what the Mazda RX7s are using. Boxer engines will be the ones like Porches are using, piston movements are like a boxer, engine moving horitontally .....

V5 engines are for on the track use only, not legalised for the road due to its massive power ....

For pictures on detail explanation of V engines, i think maxbg will be good to provide that

yah ... that's what i saw in their website also .... from inline 4 piston 20 valves, yamaha changed to inline 4 piston 16 valves .... meaning that we can expect a stronger pull onwards from midrange till the top end .... that's a very strong fight with the competiters
