Hi there

There's a website for singapore expats: http://www.singaporeexpats.com/

You'll probably get better answers there than here. Most of us are locals and would not be so updated with things you want to know.

Cheers

O LORD, what is man that you regard him, the son of man that you think of him?

Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.

like what is the max rate of a shared or bed space like temporary staying place

(It depends, if you ain't choosy, you can get a fix for $250 if you share a bedroom with someone, or if you're well accorded, you can rent a condo for 2-3K/month)

which area be good for me

(it depends, where/whic area you'd be working in)

can i ride motor bike on my current license

(No you may not. You'd have to go for a conversion which will have your capacity capped at 200cc for a year)

is transport there easy through busses

(We are claimed to be one of the world's best commuted transportation)

do you any realy good Job agency which can help me and i should check them out first

(Prolly, or if you could have secured something first. http://www.jobsdb.com.sg is a good option)

what should be a normal budget i will need if i land in there

(No answers for this, but work your lodging, food, period of unemployment if you ain't secured a job yet etc)

Hi Hellkeeper,

I think it's best if I'd get straight to the point. A lot of citizens in this country are experiencing a massive number of foreign people like you coming into Sinapore, and most of them are for the purpose of getting a job. Not many citizens here are pretty happy about this and it's a known fact. This is because Sinapore is small and to accomodate so many foreign people who also work alongside the citizens really diminishes the land space, reduced jobs, and many other issues. As you may have felt a bit currently, it is true that you may receive not very good replies from forums like this or mostly elsewhere.

Do you still find any requirement on coming here, just curious to know?

Anyways, here's my answers to some of your questions:

There's budget hotels that run in the range of $100 and above

Long term stays in a neighbourhood house are $200 a month for your own room ($1500 for the entire apartment house a month), just like what Naz has stated.

Food is equivalent to 8 to 14 dirhams here in Singapore.

The rest of your questions (i.e. license conversion has been answered)

Anyways, hope you have a nice day.

Well, its a good place to have a career :) Work is all we do and care about here...

Most of us finds it a little cramp after a while, so do take some time to go home and decompress. :)

Riding a bike in Singapore can be quite hazardous. Why? because everyone is just rushing and angry at the road conditions. Especially when its going and returning from work hours, we have a high volume of traffic going on.

Whether its human or vehicle. So that will be something you'll need to get used to.

Lane splitting is a non written rule here. But i would pay extra care to avoid 3 vehicles type.

1. Truck / Prime movers : because they are usually the ones that can't see you...

2. Taxis : Or Cabs. They are usually alittle more reckless in their driving methods. prob because they are on the road so much...

3. Lorries and Vans: Again driving is a job for them and the become desensitized to the hazards around them.

Try to get a 400cc bike if you can. A small "Cub" usually gets bullied the most.

The common bikes here are usually CB400/GSX400/DRZ. you can check out the Bikemart here. gives u a good feel what types of bikes are around.

Have fun :)

There are so many thing you need to consider before deciding to migrate to Singapore. I agree that you need to think twice. Have you been to Singapore before? If yes, how long did you stay? Remember that your culture is far different from them so you really have to study well if you can really survive to new environment.
