The Triumph Tiger 800 is like a modern interpretation of the Africa Twin!

Solid looks, but I'll take a shorter seat-height street bike/ scooter anytime.

I have to applaud the designers though, especially the engineers in-charge of the frame -> The weight is hardly noticeable! One look and you'd have thought this bike is gonna be heavy and cumbersome, but seating on it, blows your mind away.

Actually the bike looks light to me and of coz it feels like but no chance to test drive it.... So not sure how the road version will be if its loaded up with 2 side panniers and top box full + pillion. Anyone have any experience with this bike fully loaded?

I've had my bike fully loaded with e panniers,my back then Givi topbox and pillion last November when i rode solo to Krabi & Koh Lanta.I do feel my bike weighted down more than usual but it's still nimble albeit lesser torque drive...

Great! Does it feel very low after fully loaded?

Slightly low but not really that low cos when i spent my last night in Cameron before heading back to Sg and there was a landslide on e way down.I actually rode over it with my pillion onboard and it was ok.No bottoming out but take note that i increased e preload as per e manual suggested, with panniers & pillion. Cheers!

Come to think of it, my question sounds a bit silly :p. Trying to convince myself this is THE bike to get.

Check out the sales figure for UK.

Testride both e Tiger(Mah) n GS(PML) and decide which one your heart prefers... Take into consideration e price and long term running cost, insurance & COE etc... Cheers!

machine : price for the bike w/o COE & insurance

OTR (on the road) : price for bike w/COE but w/o insurance due to age diff pricing

example

bike machine price is 20k

current COE is 1k

OTR is 21k

insurance is 1k

total is 22k
