Certification of aftermarket exhaust systems

hi guys! need some help with an issue. i bought a 2nd hand bike which comes with an aftermarket st legal exhaust system. previous owner had sent for inspection and got a cert for the exhaust system already. now the thing is that e name on e cert is of the previous owner. any idea whether its illegal to leave it that way or do i have to transfer the ownership? as in get a new cert with my name instead of previous owner. bike shop which i bought e bike frm told me no need but other bike shop says that i have to. anyone experience before? thanks..

from what i know you have to transfer the name for the exhaust...might help more if u call lta and ask for thier advise if u cant get in contact with owner..or alternatively u can try get the exhaust brand distributor to do the cert with ur name on it..

if u bought the bike with the exhaust, then you no need to do the exhaust transfer.

correction: you still need to update with the distributor, in case of stolen exhaust.

 

however, there is no need to do a re-inspection at STA or Vicom.
