Scooter Freshmen

Hi guys,

 

I would like to apologize beforehand if this has been discussed somewhere which i didn't find. The results were just TOO many hahah. Also i got quite a few questions.

 

I'm looking to get into the scooter world, 100% sure i wanna downgrade from what i'm riding now. The thing is i have no idea which shop to look for scooters, not say good deal la, but reasonable price. I don't wanna kena chop not knowing the normal price. Whats the minimum downpayment like and u know stuff like dat la. Coz i wanna keep this scooter that i get for a long long time.

 

I'm a big size rider and i'm looking for a BIG scooter, something 200cc or above those kind like Xevo250. So far the only scooters i'm aware off that kinda fit my liking is the XEvo 250, Sym GTS 250 or 300I *not sure if singapore has it*. But i really REALLY love the silverwing 400, sadly its not in budget

 

I really don't know what other models are out there that look similar to these few bikes that i know off. I don't really like the outlook of forza and majesty kind, no offence to riders with those bikes . Basically a bike with fairly good FC and loads of storage space, i mean don't consider the box behind la, like those compartments and under sit stuff you know? So yah hope to learn more about the different models and the ups and downs that come with it

for scooters there are a few nice shops that sells them like ASP, Bike production etc etc...

Kinda like that bike, but heard its heavy and hard to go between vehicles + 3 tires, maintenance shud be a bit higher + FC right?

e.g. new SW >15k, used SW depends on age/condition, there're a few still available for from 8+ onwards. recently got 1 good unit sold for 6+k nia. i.e. it may not be totally outside budget.

 

other than buying price, you also have to consider maintenance issues and whether the ride's performance could satisfy you and your other than point-to-point transportation needs. e.g. some scoots are not suitable for touring.

 

especially that you have mentioned you're a big rider looking for a big scooter who supposedly is downgrading from a bike, some scoots may likely not meet your needs.

After looking around i fell in love with the daelim S3, such a convenient bike LOL. Hopefully all goes well, gonna get a brand new one in a week or so. So sorry to trouble everyone. My heart just went out to that bike the moment i saw it LOL. To top it off the functionality of it is amazing.
