Yes, I support this statement. If you have a problem with the scooter but don't know why it is so, he is the one you can rely on to investigate and fix it.

Well if you compare with some shops that makes you go down a few rounds yet still cant solve the problems and blame on anything except themselves, Botak price is reasonable.

Erm, best if you call him. He has never charged me for labour, and I'm considered a new customer. =)

if it's small small stuff, he usually do it out of goodwill... :)

thumbs up for botak!

Botak EO at $23, oil filter $15. Not sure what brand but should be the best for your scoot. He uses only the best stuff.

For full service is $280 and he dismantles the clutch completely, wash with petrol, lub every spring, nut, etc before assembling back. After service you will have no clutch slip at all. 10 years don't need to change clutch!

If you service elsewhere will be much cheaper ($200 including EO change) but your clutch will start rusting and drop out slowly. I saw a st200 with rusty clutch, riding like a horse, galloping (clutch slipping) on the road before.

After reading this thread i realize that we (those that complaint that servicing is more expensive than other shop or friend's shop) have fail to realize at the point of time that quality is more important than the price being charged. We should seriously consider like hmmm... it's slighty more expensive than XXX shop, but is it worth it? There's no way of knowing until something happens. Even if it happens one must not immediately blame the shop that you last visit. It could be the quality of the bike itself. That is why we forumer come here to find a reliable and honest shop to be recommended. Expectation of customer is different, you cannot please every one. We are guilty of complaining expensive because we cannot see the quality behind it. If botak is that good as recommeneded by so many forumers here i will gladly go there to service my bike with the peace of mind that my bike is getting the best treatment even though he might charge more or slightly more, either way we must have the right mind set that we ought to pay what is good. But i guess that's human nature to everything want the best but cheap cheap cheap. If you think hard about it, how can!? Want YOUNG want CHEAP want breast BIG BIG!!! How can be so good! So good everybody want, only you no chance. Good Quality usually not cheap, but cheap quality sure no good. SO i suggest that unless you know its a lousy bike service shop, don't be a cheapo. :p

thk bro for the contact. Went down to look for botak to do a full service for my st200... Woah...he charge $280 for full service which i feel its quite on the highside... I ask my frd who do his servicing at other place, they charge around $200.. No doubt his service is gd =/

Anyone can share where they do their full service and how much?

So this is a good lesson to you, don't listen to those forumers here about botak being so good. Because you judge his quality/workmanship by the price he charged, and it just so happens to be higher than XXX bike shop. I suggest you go to your friend's shop next time.

Given the benefit of doubt, you may be happy with the quality/workmanship but are unhappy about the price being charged and are here to confirmed that you are not cheated. The forumers here has reassure you that you are getting the real deal. The price you paid is justified.

Remember to appreciate a good mechanic especially if you don't even know one or a good one. I have heard and witness mechanic with the bo chup attitude like this not my bike what, wrong wait for it to come back lor or do wrong never mind lah, owner don't know wan or do so good also like that, customer see cheap cheap cheap where got see mechanic, do wrong complaint do good also complaint do so good for what? :p

Dear rider.. recomment by my friend fill weeks ago sent my bike ( GT200A ) to botak get a full service // i myself working as automation every day use n-key and power drill spana to do work from my point of view botak work manship is thump up the speed the passion he dismantle the parts all wash with gasoline ( the best i like is he service the clutch this is really important after service you will feel very smooth and in theory less RPM mean less Need of GASOLINE and the most im surprise is botak use loctite apply it at some important bolt i myself use loctite every day work... some people out there may not know what is loctite actually is for to apply some on the screw tread to give tightness the screw will not loose even the highest Vibration and not many shop out there will use loctite.. as why i think some rider out there say botak is expensive i pay $260//- with out spark plug botak say my spark plug still good and botak nv service coolant..
