Me, wadyand azliano went to a nice trail in punggol at night... good place for a short adventure ride....only got a few problems with the uphills with lots of sand...

Super 4 nearly washed all the sand to wady's face..

Hi brother, quite some times never been in here. Well, busy with work lah. Ok, now I will post on one of the good service shop I have just went to NTrust Enterprise at AMK Industrial Park 2A. Mechanic Faizal (Botak). My Vara has this problem of loud noise while travelling which sound like 650cc bike with backfire.. Our bikes are meant to be smooth and silence as it is a V-twin engine bike. On Monday, I decided to give it a try. Just guess what time I went there, 2130 hrs. He took out my fairing, carb and do the service of changing engine oil, spark plugs and the carb. He handled my bike with care.

 

After seeing the engine oil I used from Sanfu, he mentioned that our bike should use a 20W50 type of engine oil to protect our engine instead of normal 10W50. The brand he used is Uni Opal - Canadian 4T 20W50 engine oil. During the service of carb, he really check through the whole carb and see got any problem. Well, he did mentioned to me some of the wear and tear parts which need to change lah... but he said still can use, so don't need to change yet. But when he is syncanising the air flow, he make sure that the timing is correct. And guess what? He did my bike till 0420 hrs in the morning. Which bike mech will willing to sacrifice his sleep on doing customer bike. So after that, since everything is installed back and the sound is gone and engine runs very smoothly which I never experienced before.

 

Next day, in the morning. I tried to start the engine, the engine went dead after a while. And I did try for several times to get it started. So I called him on this problem, went down and he do a retuning again. This time, he tried to tuning to higher rpm. So giving it a try.. Time around 2 to 3 hours well since 1930 hrs to 2200 hrs. So thinking our V-twin engine really need to try to get the perfect timing for the airflow. So ride back.

 

This morning, start engine... around 1 minute plus the engine went dead again... just wanna to tell you guys that I am the type who do not like to use choke for starting engine. So after work at 1500 hrs, went down to his place and tell him the problem again. This time, he let my bike totally cool down, same here total dismantle to see where the problem is.. well, carb is pretty good done... just that he need to tune the airflow to perfect.. for the whole night he didn't sleep, but reading manual from his friend on our bike...

 

So knowing where the problem is... "Perfect timing for airflow" He tuned my bike to total perfection. Since this is the first time he do on a vara. I can understand how hard it is to synchonise our bike. Cos a V-twin engine must tune to perfection timing to let the bike has the best performance. Now, my bike is perfectly tuned and the bike run super smooth with the new engine oil.. also very smooth travelling.. with "can say no sound.. " but the loud sound is gone. And starting the engine at 1X1000rpm.. the bike has no sound at all, as compared to the previous time where I did my service in Sanfu using the synchonising device to tune and ended with backfire.

 

Guys, I sincerely recommend this place to you all. He treat every customer's bike as his own bike. He will not rest as long as the bike is perfectly done. Now since my bike is the pioneer to his shop, and he has read through the manual.. he knows what and how our varas works.

 

Guys, I will give him a 5 out of 5 points for his service. Only words for his service is "Very Good" :cheer: I think now I will travel more on my vara instead of my ST :cheeky: Cos it just run as smooth as my ST. By the way, I have sold off my ST13 just recently. Well, after some calculation of the long distance travel and the fuel consumption. Decided to let it go, telling myself that why I want to use the ST since my vara also give me the same comfort. So I sold off the bike. :smile:

 

Okie, guys. Maybe one day, we should all meet and go down there and give it a try. I did mention on the speedometer problem, which some of you guys are facing. He would like to give it a try to see what actually is the problem, and hope to solve it for you guys.

 

All varas brothers, if you decided to go for a try, can make arrangement with me.. I would be glad to help you to arrange for it, as sometimes he need to go out to service company bikes also.

 

So, daniyal. I have posted the review of the place. Just tell me when you want to go. I will make the arrangement. Well, I must said in advance I'm not a agent from the shop nor taking any introduction fees nor commission. I just want our varas to run super smooth on the road safely.

 

Also, he will be having a grand opening on 25 and 26 June which falls on Saturday and Sunday. Time wise, I will reconfirm with him. Maybe we can make arrangement for it.

I used to get my bike check with them yearly. As for the rpm it should be idling at 1500 rpm. That is again recommended. By the way all this is in the manual also. As for the tuning of the "Air flow", this is whether your engine is running rich or lean. Check your spark plugs to keep an eye on your engine as well as your fuel consumption. Glad to hear your bike is in working order again.
