Sup people....I am apologising to everyone who showed interest in MY BMW grips as I have decided to keep em for myself. At the moment I'm using Spider grips but I will swap them back to my BMW grips when i find the right balancers for my bike.

wild i about the brake pad thing that u mention some post back, about them being $18 for front brakes, and that they are the same brakes used by phantom and wave... how sure are u that they are compatable? whats your source? im thinking of MO-ing it.. as my front brake pads.. are kind of in the vicinity of 'worn out'.

I wish to join you guys for the Kelong dinner, but on four wheels instead of two cos I still need more time getting used to my bike. Would prefer to train in home ground prior leaving this island. I will go only if you guys are comfortable!

NGK Iridium Spark Plugs

Pro Dero> I have just checked with botak, and he asked me why do you need to use that? After reviewing the spark plug's performance, it's meant for performance bike or sport bike. It might be too power for our bike and it might served no purpose, correct me if I'm wrong. 1 month change twice... that's too much.. Mine have been using since Dec 2004, then I decide to change.

Well, vara brothers. Can I know how many of you are using this plug? And how's the performance?

Well, for Visual & Pro Dero. You can make arrangement with me for visiting the shop. k. I will make sure that your bike perform up to your likes.:cheeky: :cheeky:

Yo all!

Thanks again Daniyal! And yes everyone, I have passed my TP!! WooooohooooOOOoooooOOoooo!!!

went around the WHOLE of singapore just to find a vara and to my dismay! i could only find one that was grossly overpriced.. =(

din manage to go to the balestier one coz it closed kinda early, but i would like to express my thanks to Daniyal who patiently bore my nonsense with me calling him every half-hour.. hahahahaha!

i might just prolly settle for a phantom ta200 till i find a nice vara then i will switch over.. in the meantime, would appreciate if any of you guys could keep a lookout for any 2nd hand varas for me?

thanks millions!

and about the escorts and outings, mind having a small phantom tagging along?

Bros,

Need help from those who know my bike and it history..So far What I know is that my bike is one of the first four in Singapore on 2001...But does that meant that my bike is a parallel import or brought in by it authorised dealer?

Thinking of doing full servicing for the bike as it getting old..o_O

bro go to boon siew and they will check your chassis number. If ur bike is from bs then u get a 10% discount on ya bill if not u won't. Personally it isnt a big deal. It only matters if ur bike is still under warranty from bs then i think u stand to gain more.

I did full servicing when i first got my bike (second hand) and did it again when it reached 3 years which was recently in late april.

this is wat i do yearly

1) break fluid (flush and change to dot 4 brake fluid)

2) break hose (changed to hel brake hose after 2nd year of bike)

3) clutch cable replaced.

4) carb serviced

5) air filter (sponge type)

6) carb synchronized and tuned

7) flush engine oil

this is wat i do i do bi - annually

1) get Paul at racing incorp to tune my sycn my carbs.

2) i'll flush my coolant and replace it with new one.

Others:

1) i change my oil and oil filter every month.

2) my sparks m using DENSO iridiums change every 3-4 months

I usually DIY my engine oil as i do it monthly. i know it seems like a waste for some. Personally i feel that u can never change engine oil too often. I know for fully syn oils the recommended drain cycle is usually 5000km however since i usually ride the expressways and the bike is usually kept at high rpm around 8k-11k rpms the oil and the engine is under alot of stress. Take for example a cb400. its travelling about 90km/h at 6.5k rpms our vara is travelling at 9k for 90km/h! Which engine has travelled more revolutions in a minute eventhough they both travel the same distance? Thats 2500 more revolutions in 1 minute! Multiply that by the time u take to complete your journey everyday and u'll get my drift. Since the engine is stressed it should deserve the freshest juice. But anyways m just OC.

This is how i do my drainage.

After draining the old engine oil completely. i will pour 300ml of oil into the engine without closing the drainage screw to ensure that no old oil is left inside. then i'll close the drainage screw and top it up to the recommended limit.

Not forgetting these will affect your performance too:

1) tyres

2) chain and sprocket.

3) fork oil and seal.

for safety check your

1)brakes

2) tyres

3) lights

M using DENSO iridium. i dont think pro dero is using ngk iridium.

I got better throttle response and u dont need to open so much throttle for a given speed.

Byteblock makes a good and logical point. Plus it is easier on the wallet too. Since you've been dreaming about this bike you should get it...even though it's gonna take you a lil while to find it. It will be well worth the wait.

Thks bro for the location.

F.O.R

Agreed 100% with what ur dad said. Every rider will have silmilar experience. For ur bike, maybe can get a bike cover, at least less tempting for their itchy hands. Better still ambush them and tick them off show u caught them in the act.

KLUTCH

Bro, if really both hands on bar is not even, then i think it's the fork, bent back roughly not more then $70. If really kana hit & run at carpark with ur handlebar lock, it's very possible for the fork to be bent, my friend had a silmilar experence before.
