Hi..all Vara bros,Peace..

Dear brothers >> Fog lights sure looks cool and 'stylo-milo' but wait a sec..there's always two side of a coin...for those intending to install any *fog lights/lamps (not just Hella) …here’s some points to digest.

ratings

look out for the bulb ratings (watts).mind you that a single H3 bulb is rated 55 watts and you need a pair (110watts).Our stock Yuasa battery is rated 12V 6A.convert into power that’s 72 watts. technically the stock battery are grossly overloaded with all those lights running. (110watts plus 35 watts for headlamp = 145 watts). The difference (73 watts) is equivalent to another stock battery rating!!

pros

highly recommended for use on poorly lit roads or highways.

Enhance road visibility ahead.

Make known of your presence to other road user.

Cons

Will go down hard on the battery and rectifier, if not careful.

Tips

- after moving off ,ensure it’s the last switch to ‘ON’ when needed and just before engine stop the first to ‘OFF’ if not.

-for optimum usage maintain constant rpm >5k for charging up cycle.

-some options to conserve power, other than a ‘master’ switch can also add two extra ‘slave’ selector for Both, Left or Right fog light switching. or get a lower wattage bulb (

-as precautions, do get a reliable voltmeter or a battery alert.

-on the extreme, bring a spare batt .on long trips. Don’t let a dead battery or faulty rectifier spoil your ride.

- practice and master the push start stunt though jump start possible, but not recommended.(In My Opinion)

... in short, once installed use them prudently. btw, *have it covered coz not approved for sg roads

RIDE SAFELY

dudes, b4 u guys fix up da new hella replace ya old batt & do check if da mech fix up proper earthing to prevent short circuit if it rained & etc...

1. my v125 is running on 2 sets of 12v batt left & right side of my bike chassis, apart from dat my hella comet 450 is always covered in sg cuz its illegal.

2. another thing put separate switch & hook up it up DIRECTLY aft relay to prevent overload.

3.DONT tap wire from headlites or ya bike will go kay siau & get another switch if u hv hazard lites on board.

4. switch it on when really neccesary & NOT stationary cuz its eats up ya batt very fast unless u running two batts 2gether which offer better power, but it needs longer charging from ya rectifier, charging at 5000rpm...

5. unlike v1king vara its using 32volt batt if i remember correctly when some them do svc at ah *** :p

on the topic of installing auxillary lights, the most convenient and cost effective setup is to use your HI-BEAM to switch the relay that connects your auxillary light(s). Your stock Head Lamp switch has to be the most conveniently located on your handlebar, and you save on having to buy an extra switch. Good weather proof switch cost about $30, and they are hard to find, and they are usually not as good as those provided by the OEM.

Remember to put a FUZE on the battery supply line to the relay. Whatever crap the mech may say, insist on it. This is definitely the single best advice.

My personal opinion is that Fog lamps are not as useful as Driving lamps in NSH.

Pro Dero> Did you actually look at our headlight? It stated E3 screen. So now I'm using E1 bulb which means it's a euro bulb.. It's so much better than the wespa type... want to see the effect, come down on monday to Ntrust.

Daniyal> I think your bulb wiring got problem lah... the one you are using now should be high beam... but funny thing is that your low beam is not working. Maybe on Monday, you can try the new bulbs k.

Don't worry babe, guess u guys tot i forgotten all about it, i just dun want to discuss so early, later last min changes have to change our plans. Basically i also tot of asking u guys out on the 8/07/05, but i can only meet u guys at about 2230hrs, (after my shift, cannot take leave), but i need to meet u guys at Visual house (Clementi) , to let u guys have an idea, it's pretty simple though.

I hope to meet all of u guys there at clementi on the 8/7. Maybe after u guys meet @2030hrs can come down. Cos i also need to confirm the manpower list.

To the bros who can't make it on the 8/07 here's the rough idea

1) We'll meet on the day itself 10/07 at the wedding place. Blk 430 Clementi ave 3 (Blk 430 is behind the muslim coffeeshop opposite clementi interchange) at about 12pm.

2) We'll leave at about 12.45pm for the bride's house

3) About 1.45pm, we'll leave back to Visual's house.

So See u guys on the 8/7/05 @ 2330hrs yeah??? Those got difficulty in coming can call me, i try to lead u there.

Visual: Bro, needless to say, U need to come as well, in case i got stuck in work last minute
