Dun corner too soon... Burn out the wax coating first.

Stocks should be still coming in cos TP still using that tyres brand and model.

BTW is ur usual mech good with fork servicing? Cos I have an unusual fork oil seal leak problem. Changed twice at different bike shops but still leaking. I suspect something wrong with the fork (could be rust spots). Fork and seals rather ex so dun want to let any mechs do unless they really sure.... Can help me to check with ur mech? Thanks in advance...

For me not only need to replace seals again but to check for other faults so that it does not occur again. I suspect there are rust spots cutting the seals.

wa bro wat happen to ya forks man. have u gone to dili trading at ubi industrial estate? last time abbatory brough me there and the mech did a good job on my forks. His very patient mech but the boss the young chap a bit qui lan. didn't cost much new fork oil + fork seal less then $90.

After stripping the forks he put all the stuff in a basin i.e the forksand the springs and then degreased them and washed em. After drying them, he then proceeded to top up fresh oil and replace the seals on both forks.

Every mech has his good and bad points thus u go diff shops to do different things.

Ah Wah is skillful, if u look at him how he handles your bike esp when he strips the the carb the brake callipers he's work is very good. He doesnt force screws in or bangs and nuts and bolts. I've done my carb servicing at SANFU and i didn't quite like as compared to ah wah.

I had a bad experience at SANFU when the was trying to take out the screws from the carb he was banging the screwdriver agaist the carb. Also when the mech took out the carb he also took out the coolant hose and all the coolant from the radiator were drained. I didn't realise it until i check my reserve and found out that it was dry.

I've seen how ah wah changes sprockets and chain. He will clean your front sprocket cover and your rear wheel with degreaser and hose it down with water so before installing anything he ensures that all this areas are clean. It only goes to show to amount of pride he takes in his work.

However, ah wah needs to update his parts lists such as engine oil and spark plugs sprockets brake pads.

His service level is very high but sometimes getting parts from him can be quite a hassle.

Another shop i patronise is Racing Incorp. Every 3 months or so i do engine oil replacement, plugs and filter there and get a free tuning of the carb. Paul is also very knowledgeable of the bike as he owns one before and during the period of ownership he keeps tweaking his own varadero. So if u wanna get the most of ya varadero go to him.

However, some of his services are quite expensive like carb servicing. But for engine oil plugs and filter its very reasonablebly priced.

I also patronise Hua Chin at Bukit Batok there i do quick fix ups cos its the nearest to my house like bulbs and spare plugs.

But the level of service there is quite horrible.

Last for DIY stuff esp engine oils and oil filter grease and the such i patronise small MAH. He encourages u to diy he even lends u tools and oil pan so that u can dispose of the oil properly.

However the mech over there does a horrible work and has got mood swings so i never let them touch me bike.

Yesterday when I was travelling from TPE to SLE..at about 2130hrs...saw a black vara 125 ...when I wanna check the no. plate at the back....to my surprised this bike is numberless.....no plate at all.....I think he just bought a new vara....Do u guys happened to know who this guy is...hes wearing a stripped blue and white shirt...jeans .sports shoes and the helmet is GPR...

Niti>>Ok I make room for u on that day.....
