Start Time : 0700hrs Caltex @ Woodlands Ave 1

End Time : 1830hrs

Duration: Day trip.

Distance : below 250km

 

Purpose: Eco-recce ride part II

Participants: ideally 2 to 6 riders

 

 

 

 

ITINERARY

 

Meet up / Venue

: 0745 ~ 0800hrs / Shell @ KOMTAR

 

Move Off

: 0700hrs (must clear checkpoint before 0730hrs)

 

Breakfast Stop

: 0800~0830hrs ( infront of New York Hotel )

 

ETA ( Sedili Kecil)

: 1100~1130hrs

 

Site Activity ( Incl. Lunch)

: 1130~ 1330hrs (Seafood Lunch)

 

Move off

: 1335 hrs

 

ETA

: 1700~ 1730hrs ( 2nd Link via Kota Tinggi / Kulai )

2nd hand 5-8k depends on accessories, condition of bike and year of production..

1st hand 10-11k..

 

ur friend planning to get 1st hand or 2nd hand?

....will have to count me out...i'll be driving up to port dickson this coming weekend.... 250km one way? so 2 way will be 500km?

… distance is lesser, about 400km two ways. will try two things for this ride. firstly, try route 90 & 94. the other, to test out something. a bonus if can commissioned it by then. (hint: interestingly with accessories, could turn that mobile phone GPS enabled.)

3 years ago i saw a vara and fell in love with it. Die die must buy and in the end i did. Now i got a class 2 dream bike already so die die must try hard to buy!! :help:

first ask your friend if he really want to get this bike......

 

if he really really really interested in getting....they some of us here can help him get one....

 

2nd hand market from bike shop is around $7k without accessories...

 

2nd hand market direct from seller is around $5-6k without accessories...

with accessories is around $6-8k.....

 

good thing if you get direct from seller and it happen to be one of us....you can always get advice from the person regarding maintanence....

 

can search inside the classified....got a few selling a few months back...

 

if he want those with accessories......

can get this UNIQUE vara....the owner letting go soon....

Hi.........vara riders can any1 spare me - one of your headlight bulb, used 1 also can. I am thinking of developing a HID for this bulb. I have seen it yesterday but can get a part number for it in the normal light bulb catalog. I need it soon as I will be going to the Zoomlite factory early next month. :help: :help: :help: :help:

for the stock one is about the same as vespa bulb....yellow light

Brand is VARTA (some german brand if im not wrong), 12 V 35W...

 

for the halogen bulb..

it's Phoenix M5 Tungsten Halogen Head Lamps....12 V 35W

can try Looi's motor at Ubi.... Southern ...or Bukit Timah area...

west side i dunno...

Mah Pte Ltd or Boon Siew also got...but a bit pricey..

 

2. How Much OTR?

OTR should be around 11-12k

 

3. How much first party insurance for 30+ y/o?

first party insurance not so sure...

could be $1k++

not so sure whether anyone here got first party insurance...
