what's the purpose of upgrading the wheel?

might as well get a scrambler...

the stock bike itself is good enough for all purpose...

anyway i don't think it's possible...will need to change a lot of things..

if you want maybe can send the bike to West Coast Customs then they make your bike look like VaradePro.

Vara bros, something to share...

Today I went to Boon Siew with the intention to buy the headlite socket, as mine I dun think is gona hold. The spare part lady told me that she has 1 on stock, I paid using card (S$47.25), she passed me the goods. The I went over to the workshop section and asked the mechanic the price of the installation. The latter asked what happened to mine. I told him that mine has cracked. He then took a look at the new piece that I bought and noticed that the new one is also cracked and asked me to get it changed at the spare part section. The apare part section lady then told me that she has got no more stock. Its either she refunded me the $ or I gota to wait for about 1-5 mths time. I chose refund. Also checked with several places, e.g FJT, Ever Success and many more. But none of the  shop has Vara125 headlite socket.

Later in the day, feeling so very down, I went to one of the bike shop opposite Eminent Plaza (Lavender Food Court). The mechanic 'Ah Chong' took a look at my former broken piece and said that it seems to be the same as KTM. He took one piece (S$15/=) from the lady cashier and 'viola', it fits like a jig saw puzzle. He was so happy, kept praising himself (very comical and nice fella) and Im even more delighted.

Then as one of my headlite was already blown, I asked him to change one for me. (Initially im using 'Autopal' M5 Halogen lamp but kept blowing evey now and then) He told me that he does not have that stock. (I have tried to look for the Pheonix tungsten M5 halogen) So he suggested using a BIG bulb ('Fossil 3939[black and yellow box] - German brand S$6/=) and it also fits well. Now I'm an even more happy man. Though its not as bright as halogen, at least it fits and is working.

Moral of the story:-

1) Our varadero headlight socket can use KTM's. It cost only S$15/= But Boon Siew sells S$47.25/= (Not sure how original looks like)

2) The Fossil 3939 (If i got the brand and model correct) headlite bulb is compatible with the socket and the voltage 12V 35W is compatible with ours.

Anyway, one last thing. when I went to Boon Siew today, I think I saw the new varadero 1K. The 'varadero 'wordings by the side of the fairing is very very very nice. Its not sticker, instead its those popped out type. you can feel the grove. Its damn nice.

Aikon & Visual

I should have asked him abt the crash bars, think might need to check out with seng kwang, i think they did it.But that officer is a nice chap though...but from what i understand is that they respond to alarm emergency 24/7. Not sure how many 06 varas Cisco have bought. But personally i find it very amazing that the cisco even got a givi windshield as a standard for the bike. U should have see their switches for blinker, i think it's waterproof.

Anyway, , does anyone knows if you kena careless driving(Acct) - S$200/= 6 demerit points, say if you appeal and in the event that the appeal becomes unsuccessful, will the penalty become harsher?

2. Or is it worth to appeal in the first place?

Errm....u can try DirtWheel, whenever a seller sells a GS to DW, it'll get snapped up pretty fast....so must really monitor classifieds for their ads.

I too having a hard time getting one...finding one at anytime is pretty difficult. The number of GSes here is pretty small. So i think u'll need to have alot of patience....
