Guys check out the NEW transalp! FIERCE man

http://users.bart.nl/~stikfort/new_international_site/varadero_news/transvara750.jpg

suddenly AT & vara1000 is no longer my dream bike

Visual, u sure this will come into production?

Looks like a mixture of Transalp 650 and Vara 1000 FI...

Seems to me that its a design in progress thingy. But I do agree... It looks nice. :thumb:

I dunno whether it will be produced. its a hybrid AT and Transalp but turns out to look like a varadero. Thats just the artist version of some motorcycle mag that think what HONDA is gonna build. . there also a AT and Varadero hybrid again rumoured.

A tank slap occurs when u decelerate quickly and ur hands are not on the handlebar. This will allow the handle bar of the varadero to slap either side of your cheeks. Therefore always hold the handlebars firmly when decelerating unless u want them to slap u!

:bouncefire:

anyway i was not joking bout the tyres ... indy u should consider giving ur tyres to visual instead of giving it to the workshop. I think visual kinda used to the tyres been using it almost 2 years right.

Its wasn't an issue when i was on michelin, when decelerating , i tried hands free, i could travel as firm as a rock for more than 100-150 m without shimmering of the handle bars.

tourance is well known for this problem thru out the varadero community in the european countries.

but i would still opt for it again , as it really gives satisfy rides, the shimmering problem is easier overshadow by the cornering abilities.

I been using tourance for more than 2 years and still on it, its my 2nd pair now...

[lucifer] i actually got it form a website, stating its an artist rendering of the next transalp..

it maybe the next transalp and its 650 confirm they are never gonna make 400

as their main market is europe so its has to be 650cc as those clowns in europe cannot handle bike with less then 500 cc apprantly..

;)

visual.

you saw also the comparo of this bike merged with vara (with dimensions)?

vara is like 200mm shorter in length and 40mm shorter in seat height. Rear tyre same, front tyre smaller.

check it out.

Cheers.

Wooh, in the compare image

vara125 is pretty similar to TA650 huh...

in the promo brocheure of vara125, it did mentioned that alot of the design of v125 was inface taken of TA..

very cool...

i initially really like transalp...

but if they choose to make the design like this... i feel it looks better then AT & V1k..

Hope they do.. but then again 1 problem.. can only get 1st hand and its gonna cost like 13 -16k!! gulp!

this has been in the rumour mill for some time..esp in europe..they are waiting to see if it will be unveiled in bike shows by the end of this year.. rumours range from an integrated translap and vara to challenge the little v strom...to a new v twin from honda..so bottomline is...we can only enjoy wat we have now cuz even if the bike exists, it would prob take some time to come in..

Try CKA (Choong Kok Agency) @ Jurong East or Shunli Industrial.

They have a mechanic specialize in Honda. Also, they can get honda parts rather readily as Daelim Daystar used Honda parts.

Talk to @ JE, the lady boss and shunli, look for the boss, her husband.

FJT and eversuccesses do sell orignial honda parts. Though the wind deflectors are part of accessories so they might not bring it in. As with all accessories for the vara125 i think we need to get a shop to bring it in for us or order online at http://www.davidsilverspares.com

[the tyre story continues...]

anyways, just got new tyres....

and as i was test riding it.. it felt HORRIBLE!! felt funny and uneven, connering is scary,, seemss the tyre is forcing my bike to a certain angle.... cant really control the turn...

suddenly i really regreted changing tyres.. this is far worst then the old worn out.. trailwing!

$270 for this!!!

anyways...

read this,,,,

something i didint know, !! there is a RUN IN for Tyres too!

How long is the run in period for motorcycle tyres ?

In order for the new tyres to provide optimum performance, all new tyres must be ridden very cautiously for the first 100-200 kms. Immediately after new tyres are mounted, sudden acceleration, heavy breaking, and hard cornering must be avoided until the 100-200 kms run in period is completed.

so anyways... i went out again later in the night to pump air to the tyres.. *and on the way home* seems to be ok.. felt abit better...

Hoping the article is true.. cant wait for tyres to be run-in

any-one with this experience after changing their tyres?
