Sorry to interrupt...to all outriders and vara riders,i need help.

 

I saw this particular varadero125 at golden landmark sometime back and saw that the front tyre is michelin sirac but didnt take notice that its tubeless...

 

i went to Mah Motorparts and spoke to Jeffery,he told me Sirac 18inch is never tubeless...which end up i have to buy the non tubeless for rear to convert to front..

 

But as of today,i can confirm that we actually have tubeless front tyre 18inch dual sport tyre...i managed to snap this photo while i was at Tamp...

By the way guys, My TP for 2a is on the 15th of this month. so please wish m luck. The moment I pass, I would be letting my Vara go. please don start asking me for this part and that part yet. Unless I can sell off my whole bike in pieces then no probs. Otherwise I am selling it off as a WHOLE.... (that goes for Jason too) hee hee...

can't rem exactly.. cos did a few other things along with changing tyres.. should be roughly between 260 to 300 bucks.. safe estimate.

I am thinking of going up HatYai again this July the date & time TBC it should on the 26-27 /07/08 just one nite only. I had done it a lot times but this time I will be using my Vare 125 and try, just thinking if anyone who own Vara 125 want to join me?

 

PLS just PM me and I'll see what I can do, if not I'll go alone with myself.

I will agree with you it is a bit rush but that is what i want to do. You never try you never know.

I had been going HatYai just for a night, Sat morning 4am shoot up Thailand reach the border around 12pm then check in hotel around 1:30pm the most on my GS.

 

For a Vara125 I think we have to set off at 12am reach the border around the same time too 12pm.

 

I just want to try only, if tired we stop, if can't make it we can always check in to any hotel near by stay a night then come home.

 

For me it is a weekend get away.

Guys, need your views. I'm giving up my Vara 125 (seldom ride) but dun know how much its worth nowadays. its a end 05 mileage 30k with tank bra and main stand. Dun wanna be taken as carrot at bike shop. Any views? Kum sia many many

i called biketech...the nxt mainstand shipment would be coming in 8 to 12 weeks time...so just wanna do an interest check.will call him for a final price once the list has been confirmed.

I have a few PM from you guys here, sorry if I turn some of you down.

Some of you guys never ride far to KL or Ipoh, training is needed before going for long ride. So I will plan a short trip for the VARA 125 guys try it out and see if guys can take it, if can then maybe I'll plan a long ride to Thailand again.

 

Thanks for the PM from you guys, I can see some of you really to go this ride, will make it happen for you all.

A ride to Hatyai can also be part of a training. Just need some guidance and self believe. Some of the old birds here went to Hatyai for their first trip out of Singapore. Sure can la.

yup ! totally agree with yem. :cheer: the last trip when we went to thai, i think quite a handful of the vara riders did nt have the experience which includes me. We still came back safely and had a hell lot of fun there :D

thats why im keeping quiet...coz maybe for safety reasons i should familiarise myself with a short trip first.
