Rode 100+km in hard continuous rain avoiding huge potholes on NS highway, rode on trunk roads semi and sometime fully covered in fast-running mud-water which came up to our knees, shocked villagers and 4-wheelers alike...

Dates : Either on 17th, 18th, or 31st Jan 2009. ( Day Trip )

Place To : Somewhere along Route 3.

Distance : ~ 350 to 450km ( Total )

Time : 0800 - 1830hrs ( TBC )

Itineraries:

- Visit a flood relief center ( if any ) or a settlement area for the aborigines.

- Give out handouts ( at your own accord ) .

- A little interactions inbetween .

- Eco ride home bound ( No off road )

Hello! Can I add on something? I've never ride a Vara 125 before and currently I'm not riding a Vara 125. When I had my first day trip with Wai, Datuk, Demon and Rudinko, I was riding a Wave125 and I was very slow and really very slow compared to theirs. But one thing which I am very sure of is I've never been left behind as the last rider despite my speed. Till today, though I have changed to a 400cc, again I've never been left as the last bike. The very basic reason is because of the experiences and not the speed of the bike. A good and experienced group of riders will definitely care for his fellow riders irregardless of the volume of the bike. I'm saying all these is not to make you choose the group, but a clearer picture of how the group, Outriderz, is.

to the rest (me included) >> I think we should give the new guys a break and constantly invite/encourage them to meet up and join in for rides. I dun think its fair to expect them to totally "trust" the group when they practically haven really even met up b4.

Riding in a group is all abt trust. I trust the gang will have my back. and trust is built through a sense of belonging and feeling comfortable within the group. It takes time. Back to the first point...invite and encourage. thats the only way to grow and move forward together. :>

I agree with Nash on this. The new guys should try and come up for more meet ups/trips. Like everyone have been emphasizing on, we will not leave anyone behind in a group so dont worry.

Since this trip is only 400km. Do try and make time for it and we will have fun riding and enjoy the joy of giving.

Just a suggestion here...Stuffs inside your wardrobe that you donâ€™t need any longer. under / over size shoes. Above all, itâ€™s the gesture that counts. BUt be sure the load is manageable after packing it up.

VolunTourers >> as this is a joint effort, give it time for me to finalise the outcome with another party. we might be joining another group of riders to accomplish this ride mission.
Veteran or novice, be prepare for some challenges ahead.Once again, itâ€™s the rider,not the ride which matter. If there are no flood centre around, our stuffs will still be delivered to the needy aborigines.
