I had presented on (1) proposed t-shirt project and (2) Bro Daniyal's proposed new design for the logo for our T-shirt purpose. I have also explained on Bro Daniyal's behalf the objective of the new design and how it will reflect a more dynamic group of bikers and our spirit of adventure. Estimated costings for both (1) and (2) above also have been related.

There were mixed responses and some who prefer not to respond yet. As suggested by some I am posting here to officially get your replies.

Please decide now and do not sit on the fence so that we can progress forwards. Lets impose a reasonable deadline for all to reply by 22 Feb 2008 Sunday 2359hrs.

I prefer the old logo without the flames too. Simple, yet cool.

Maybe just a bit of touch up and it will be nice.

Dear Brothers...about the new logo...dun fret too much...if majority prefer the old one...please proceed...I shall proceed with mine...because I have long wanted to do this...Something simple and yet speak volume about us...

and if you guys are wondering about the cost...$150 for 3 drafts and 1 final...will be paid by me....I will be sharing the 3 drafts with you guys soon...wanting to have some inputs before I shall proceed with the final one...If by then you guys like the design and want it to be printed with the new Polo T...the cost shall be shared among us...if you guys still prefer the old one by then, there is no cost to be shared among us...win win situation...

Juz a basic idea of what you can expect from the new one with some inputs from the brothers here...it is going to be a simple...less picture but maybe symbols...more words..simple layout yet looks good...nothing fancy...

I would appreciate if you guys would contribute in terms of slogan or motto that can best describe us...Below just some examples...you guys can put up a new one..and we shall vote and see whether it fits into the new logo...

PS: I prefer the old OutRiders logo simply cos tat's what the group started out with. A bunch of Vara 125 riders who wanted to stick together, ride together and make new frens - especially with other Vara 125 riders. That group has become what it is today. Although most of the old birds (if i may call u guys tat...) have upgraded to bigger cc bikes...the reason they still stick together and are so active in the group is cos of the fact they ALL started out riding a Vara 125. they are still interested in meeting new Vara 125 riders and passing on the experience and advice to them.

In that very essence the old logo was/is designed to protray the image of the Vara 125 (i.e the headlight shape). This is afterall the Vara 125 thread, and in my opinion thats the way it should be continued on for future Vara 125 riders and the like.

Having said that, I would like to support Daniyal in one aspect of his idea - to include a slogan in our logo design.

I think that is a very good idea and I particularly like the 1st one. And some others i thought of.

"Cover the Miles in Style"

"Ride with Pride"

Afterall the Vara 125 is a very capable touring machine - if the rider is up to it!

Saw a Black fellow Vara 125. Parked at Jln Pinang there, I think went to the hardcore show. Is the person here?

By the way guys, take care when parking along those small alleys. Witnessed a crazy china fellow, either high on drugs or just crazy. Who walked through the alley pushing ALL the bikes parked there down. A black super4 and honda cub suffered. Pushed all the bikes down, walked off and proceeded to kick dustbins along the street. The super4's box was partially broken from it's rack.
