I was visiting the used car shops the past weekend...

Was told that a euro4 van like the peugeot partner or fiat doblo can easily get 800+km per full tank of diesel!

Any eurovan owners here willing to share their experiences on driving vans?

Cost of Servicing will depend where u send it for servicing?

Agent excellent service --- High price

Small workshop -- limited service but cheap

Middle size workshop - price cheaper than agent but hv addition service such as clean here and there + check here & there.

"black smoke emission" not a issue as long u dont buy those cheap diesel and wash ur exhaust at every service and b4 inspection.

Servicing is as good as any other cars.

Black smoke problem? It does emit black smoke since it's diesel. But nothing too much to worry if you maintain it well.

Apparently, riding a class 2 bike is more expensive than driving a van.

riding a class 2 bike is more expensive than a van? U mean comparing with insurance n road tax?

If say i get a fiat doblo 1.9, wats the rough insurance and road tax per year? same as that of a car?

Van fuel consumption at least 18km/l.

Class 2 sports 15km/l?

Still not taking in the price per litre into factor. Road tax 500 per year. Insurance about the same? 1k+ some sportsbike go up to 2-3k.

Depends on which CL2 bike you are riding.. Mine is currently arnd 22+ km/l..

visited one of the 2nd hand dealers this weekend, was told that some models of vans can achieve 800+km per full tank (50+ L).. others around 500km only.

Was thinking if the lower fc vans are those of higher cc and with in-built turbo?

Im drive a Renault Kangoo 1.5 too. Everything is okay with it until the small hiccups comes along, like stuff getting faulty etc, will cost alot to repair at agent. The major 70k servicing cost more than Japanese vehicles, $1k plus for belting etc...

I dont think all kangoo r problematic as it had many model....I owned 2005 1.5T (turbo) milage 90k now. Never give me big problem before...maybe parts cost more ex than japan van but to me it's ok as it more comfortable than japan van..

Maintenance is normal servicing every 10,000km. about $120

FC is about 14.7km/L

Else is Petrol ($180) S.Parking ($65) Coupons ($20)

I just test rode the DCi70... this 1.5T really drives well!

Drives and handles better then a doblo, but the cargo space is much much smaller
