Simple, when you go into that coffeeshop, if no one serve u, u have the right to walk away and dont let them earn a single cent. But anyway since you decided to wait, means you accepted their service standard. Then since you accepted, why are you complaining?

 

Then when you order your food, you havent pay your money. You have the right to walk away and say you dont want already bcos you haven pay and they are taking so long to prepare your food. But anyway since you decided to wait, means you accepted their speed. Then since you accepted, why are you complaining?

 

Then when you were given the wrong food, you have the right to demand a change. If they insist not to change, you have the right to boycott them. But if you never even try to ask them to change, means you accepted the wrong food. Then since you accepted, why are you complaining?

ANYWAY, the scenario was based on a self-service stall, whereby you walked UP into the front of the stall and peeking over into, expecting to hear a "Yes, what do you want?" or something.

things like bolts, nuts, simple accessories can buy down there like bike cover is very cheap, i got a super 4 with box sized cover @ $15 where else i saw someone posting here got one @ the same price for his SP. dunno how to word myself but there are somethings can buy, some is up to u~

yes, i do agree too.

 

whereas we do not mind getting lousy service at a cheap place, we DO mind going to a cheap place with lousy service which CHEATS.

 

there's a big difference, or did you forget?

Anyway since this thread was dug out, it's common knowledge that the infamous shop resorts to tricks like this. So after they give you the goods that you want, is it that hard to check if it's really what you wanted?

 

I don't know, but all the things i bought from them have been checked before leaving the shop. However, I never gotten the wrong things before. Imagine they have so many customers and they're only human. Instead of playing your part to check, you blame everything on someone else.

 

I agree that it's appalling that a shop would do something like that. So why don't you protect yourself by checking. Don't expect anyone else to look out for you when you wanna go into such a shop with such a :thumb: reputation.

Honesty is the best policy, while cheap doesnt mean its not someones hard earn money......Not everyone gets gd pay checks and have the choices of things...Its easy to advice people ,but when it happends to you thats when it pricks......Cheating or swindling is not an option(bad for your Karma),earning money is not everything,its abt how you earn it,at the end of the day you think you have been honest,you sleep better at night...Its all abt moral issues.Money is easy to come respect is harder.....,BTW anybody in singapore can attain a lawyer and press charges for slander....and anybody can counter that claim in court wif the right evidences.Its not law issues ,personal issues or slander,but abt being a human,living by respect for one another........ :angel:

 

P.S: I have tried my best to ans the moral questions that have come up,I'm no angel but try to live wif dignity and respect to my fellow humans. :btw: In no way i have directed any of my words to individuals ,but placing my advice in general,if i have offended anyone ,pls accept my humble apologizes.....And im no moral education teacher ahh....Best of HOPES to LAB ....

You pay for an Arai helmet, you GET an Arai helmet! Full stop! Not some cheap ass imitation that you've tried on, tested, seen, touched and THOUGHT was really an Arai. What are we, professional testers? NO! We're customers, and we expect to GET what we PAID for! What if I've never had or touched an Arai helmet before, coz I just got my licence and looking forward to buying one. Would I know HOW an Arai helmet looks or feels like?!? Same goes for sizes, would I know?

 

It is the shop's RESPONSIBILITY to give people what they have PAID FOR!

Did I ever say I supported him? In fact, my experience abt the chain and sprocket seem to indicate otherwise. Its just that I know from experience how the whole deal abt "cheap" motortiams get their business and just work around it from then on.

The deal is simple. These shops (I'm not naming names) have sumting you want. What makes them attractive is the price they offer. But there is sure to be a catch. Whether you want to take the risk to deal with them is up to you. You can avoid it by seeking advice from others or bringing those "experienced" ones to deal with these shops for you.

Or you can go to another shop. Tats wat I would do....

 

If kena by them and you wish to take legal steps, go right ahead and I'll be supporting you.

But for me, I can't be bothered. I've been bitten once and now 4x-shy. So I prefer to do my own research and browsing before going in head-first. There's many alternatives I can pursue that offer me better prices and better service. Its just a matter of effort to find these alternatives.....

After reading on all the posts, those that curse LAB simply don't GET IT!

 

They just keep saying he cheats ppl who buy things from him.

 

Somehow these ppl who goes to LAB to buy something for example like a helmet and expect the quality of a ARAI but want ot pay for a ARAL only,,,,hahahahha

 

How could LAB cheat you if YOU THE CUSTOMER IS THE ONE who was cheap and yet want something of quality from LAB at the prices that he is selling!

 

You can go to the end of the world and yet not find such 'cheap things' that would satify BOTH your wallet and your taste!

if LAB makes a statement of fact to a potential custom, which is false, then that's misrepresentation. The price, is inmaterial. Of course in law there is a distinction between "fraudulent misrepresentation", and "innocent misrepresentaion". Having said that, if an article is being sold well below it's market price, then you can continue dealing but very cautiously, or simply walk away. :bounce:

your statement is not in sync with the real business world. The business model is "cheaper" price but less service, definitely not "no service" or "poor service". :bounce:

Cos there is always people only wanting to argue that they and their thinking is always right. And its tiresome.

 

And LAB services are slow, their things are cheap and yet there is always a big crowd of people there? There should be some indication that some things are not argue-able?

 

Fact is, people who goes there have a choice. And they exercised their choice.

 

You also have a choice. You can grumble, but please do not grumble till you make a fool of yourself.

pls lah u buy mhr from LAB what u expect? arai quality for 30 odd dollars ah (which is what i paid for my mhr helmet)
