Hi guys, just yesterday i was hit in the back of my motorbike by a car while i was stationary (waiting for a car in front to reverse). When i felt the impact i turned back to shout at the driver but he just calmly waved an apology, reversed and drove away. I was shocked but managed to note down his license plate number. Upon inspection i realised that my license plate and chain guard was bent.

I didn't gather the particulars of any witnesses even though there were a few because I was too stunned in the moment. Should i pursue this case considering that i have no witnesses to back me up?

yes, pursue, take photo of ur damage immediately if u haven't. go idac within 24hr of accident. at the same time, make police report, then tell ur insurance.

since sat, u might have problem contacting some of the agent, but no choice, do whatever u can 1st.

the other driver might change his words saying never hit u, but if u report at least got chance to claim. better then u pay the damage from ur pocket rite.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

do you know how much the damage would cost?

Apart from just the damage cost, hit & run drivers shouldn't be let off lightly. Take photos, make a report asap, pursue the matter.
