yes yes most iimportant to ride slowly for few minutes to let the engine oil lubricate the parts first.

 

Failure to warm up engine will actually shorten the lifespan of timing chain and others. This is also heard from someone. Not too sure also. Timing chain is use to clock the timing with valve and piston, If happen that this chain snap then you have to see whether your piston and valve got damage. Last time my brother car timing belt set wrongly the valve snap and need to replace. Yet the motorcar shop refuse to admit their fault.

i thot timing chain is the valve only? how it affects the piston?

No only valve piston also. as its the timing so they will no meet...

Hi guys. just wanna find out how long do you have to wait for ur new S4 before you can get it on the road. the mototiam guy told me is abt 2 weeks. is it abt that long?

actually this question is ask many many times. That because of the clutch plate.. This is what alot of people say. In order to have the sound disappear faster usually i will make the bike upright for warm up

Hi pple.. I'm not a s4 rider coz i dun hav 2A license, but planning to take when my probation for class 2B ends.. Is there any thread tat shows wat to take note when buying a 2nd hand s4? And frankly speaking, I do not know wat's the difference between spec I, II and III.. Izzit the engine different? Anyone care to explain?

 

By the way, wat is vtec? Izzit some valve tat opens at certain rpm?

hmm :btw: i always have problem kicking to neutral.. why ah..

since bbdc until now still like that..

i always need to throttle abit then kick to neutral.. :confused:

change engine oil and also to have 1 engine clean. i think too much dirt inside liao

When is your last oil change?

just took over bike.. was asked to change at 74000km.. about another 300km to go..

i love dividends.

Best is to change now as is not expensive.

Motoworld have budget promotion for motorex. 3 litres + oil filter only $68 plus additional bottle at $19

changed castrol r4 at ASP toh guan as its more convenient.

the oil change did help.

 

loosening the clutch cable did help too. later adjust abit more until comfy.

anyway just to check wit u guys, how long does chain n sprocket last?

any recommendation(price,brands and workshop)? my chain starts slipping away now. having 'thud' 'thud' 'thud' sound while on the move. at the moment any good form of lubrications for s4 chain? regards

go check whether ur chain is too tight or loose.

 

wanna change can change DID chain & Afam spocket. i change these & nearly a yr haven tighten the chain, still gd

but i chain spray the chain until shiny (not letting it be dry), just like for my bicycle.
