iPad 2 unveiled - Black and White colours

iPad 2: Thinner, 2x faster, two cameras, 2 colour choices

Apple has just unveiled their newest version to their flagship tablet computing device, the iPad 2.

 

It may look similar at first glance to the iPad first-generation, but look at it from all sides and you will see that:

 

- It is thinner than the first iPad.

- It now has a front and a HD rear camera like the iPhone 4

- It weighs under 0.6 grams and is under 0.9cm

- It is 2x faster than the first iPad (1.2GHz dual-core processor)

 

Consumer grouses on the former iPad was its lack of wider-sized HD support. Apple addressed that by allowing viewers to beam their videos over to a 1080p-sized HDTV. Other offerings alongside this new iPad is a magnetic screen cover that also doubles as an iPad stand, software such as GarageBand and a fully featured iMovie to edit videos on the go.

 

USA release date is set for March 11; no word on Singapore release dates.

Best of all. it is the same price as Ipad. starting from US$499

Yup. Same price as when the iPad 1 was released a few years back.

 

One of my colleagues told me the price of the first iPad is a couple hundred dollars cheaper now.
