Hi,

currently i'm riding a phantom and got a zeus 48L w/ it original baseplate on a Givi rack....

 

while i was riding (smooth road or uneven road) my box will shake front and back... at hit on hitting my pillion back rest..

 

 

anyone know how to make it stable? thanks alots

hi happy new year! did u fixed the box and rack DIY? i think its best to bring it to the bike shop to rectify the situation. Things dropping off the road will result in demerit points.

Check if all the bolts and nuts are properly tightened...

 

If it's the box shaking cos it doesn't seat firmly on the base plate, can try add small pieces of rubber between the box and base plate.

Even the smallest spark can start a massive forest fire...

like wat they say check the bolts and nuts are screw tightly..

my friend hav this problem b4 too..

later i find out that his box catch and the base plate catch hav slight gap..

so i help him tie 1 or 2 cable tie to close up the gap..

that solve his problem..

Had the same prob,den it was due to loosen nuts....so just had to retighten them....

The box n rack shld stay in place and not shake about if properly fitted ..

Unless u are travelling at speeds above 150kmh (read somewhere before)
