Mind if i ask, what is the correct technique and posture for e-brake? Thanks

Accelerate to a speed of 30-35 km/h.

Once the front wheel touches the yellow line, engage both front and rear brake.

Clutch in only when the bike is about to come to a complete stop.

Right foot down, left foot up to tap down to gear 1.

Left foot down, right foot up, signal right, check back right and move off.

Note: Sit up straight, grip the tank and lock your elbows when doing emergency brake.

It's actually good when it's raining during your TP. I was the first to go and it was already raining then... the TP were like looking for place to siam with their umbrellas :p

Yes heard before good to rain during TP, tester will find a good location carry their umbrella plus vision is bad....

slightly easily to pass but also must be good riding skills.

Congrats to those who passed! Sometimes i see learner riders doing very wide U-turns on the roads which reminded me of the days when i was a learner. Anyway, nowadays my u-turns r also wide if i dun focus hard enough =p

Hi, i switched over from CDC and i just enrolled at SSDC.

the one thing confusing me is the theory, can i randomly take the theory 1-7 or must it be in sequence? the FAQ says something like needing to clear 1-4 -> take 4 X Trial theory test -> the actual test -> if i pass then i can book Defensive Riding 5-7.

i'm confused, can i just whack 1-7 in one week then spam the trial tests to go for the actual test? must i really take 4 trial tests....

i pass my 2b quite long already. If i remember not wrong u can take your theory at any sequence, just clear all. u have to clear your trail tests in order to book your actual test, just go there and take it as a practice it helps alot.

so that means i can pay for defensive riding theory now, immediately go for 1-7 theory then take 1 trial test and straightaway take the actual test?

no u have to take 1-4 first but any sequence. then u can take defensive theory. this is during my time, when 2B dont need BTT. and when i was learning 2B after clear 4 lesson can take RTT already. I believe now it is different. u can check their website on the flow chart or call them.

their flow chart is overly complicated and outdated.

i just finished lesson 3-4, DRT 5-6. couldnt stay for DRT 7 to clear 5-7 in 1 day, the instructor was just super long winded and most of the things they mention, i already look out for since i am one of those road cyclists that car drivers hate.

from what i learnt, 1-4 RTT and DRT 5-7 can be done in any sequence. to take the trial test you need RTT 1-4, then you need a min. 4 trial tests before you can book the actual test.

PDL requires orientation first. DRT 5-7 can be done whenever you are free, some went all the way to practical 7 before coming for DRT.

my orientation is today at 610pm so i'll see if i can apply for PDL today as well.

gonna do as much as i can while i'm on my 1 week leave.

Anything taking Practical 1 on 5th Jan Sunday 10.30am?

Cleared theory 1-6, booked 4 trial tests, after that then go for RTT.

Pity my 1 week leave is over...

Hi all, just sharing a helpful video on "counter-steering" (how to turn a bike properly). A lot of people don't seem to know about this and it's not explicitly explained in SSDC either. Nothing to do with body leaning or whatever.

Just sharing good info for all current and future learners!! Watch this!

Wow.. u picked a pretty old thread to ask the qns. Anyway, you dont have to bring a helmet. Prac 0 is jus an introduction. No riding involved. Instructors will just brief u on the lessons.. and prob let u pick up fallen bikes, that's all
