i just got stopped in a road block by LTA.

He says my pipe is too loud and illegal.

And i'm supposed to go STA at 3pm for inspection.

 

What should i do? Should i change back to stock pipe for inspection tml? Does it help?

Will i get fine? how much is the fine?

If i were you, I will go without changing back to stock. Avoid getting into more trouble if caught.

best dont la change back la. I dont think they will stupid until believe that a TP will send someone to STA for having stock pipe.

 

My advice is for you to go for it, and prepare a sweet sobbing appeal letter, hopefully that the fines/charges will be reduced. Tml afternoon see got any better advices from bros who had went through the same situation with you not loh.. best of luck.

 

Anyway try searching through old threads see got anyone same situation as you not... or google.

Yah. LTA no longer believes that you were send to do Inspection of the pipe and that it became stock.

 

But usually, they escort you back to LTA to do the fine-ing immediately. Telling you to bring it for inspection, means giving you a chance. You change it. Explain it and promise to use only stock or street legal pipes. Still has a chance to be let off.

 

You dont, and only submit a sob story, then if it was you. Will you give a chance to the bugger that wants to continue using non street legal pipes on the road despite this time being caught?

GSXR 400 has no aftermarket pipe. Only stock pipe. What should i do den? Got caught yesterday at yishun dam. LOL

I had the same thing few months back.

 

The LTA guy didnt even issued me a case number so I went STA immediately (altho I said I can only do it next day due to rushing for a meeting).

When I arrived at ST, they asked me for a case number which I didnt have. They got confused as well and told me if there's no case number, I shouldnt have come.

 

But I told them that the dude has taken pictures. They went.. "AIYAH!!!!!!! Wasted!"

 

So I waited for THREE hours. Lots of ding-dong here and there and finally the LTA guy came into STA.

 

First word "WHY YOU TROUBLE ME SO MUCH?!".

 

Well, because I told him that I'd arrive tomorrow but I went immediately to get it done and over with, he got cheesed! Cuz I made him rode from Tuas to Changi (HO! HO! HO!)

 

Anyways mate, appeal or no appeal - It wont matter. You'd still get it anyways.

 

If he just charge u on the pipe, you're lucky.

Before you go STA, make sure anything that needs to be legal, please make it legal.

 

Headlights, hi beam lo beam, horn, number plate (number plate must have light) etc etc.

 

Pipe = 550

Headlight = 70

Signal = 70 (per front or per back. if both, do the maths)

Number plate = 70

Number plate light = 70

But I was on my sportsbike, street legal exhaust, with race fairings but all signals intact (but its LED white hee hee)

 

My mistake - My exhaust baffle from the street legal was removed and I honestly didn't bother to put it back when I got the bike from ex-owner cos I WAS PLAIN LAZY...

 

So it's like Summon Wonderland

i think the getting caught for illegal pipe follows u throughout right ? as in even if change to other bikes.. will it erase if u got caugght before

ohh..wow... street legal without baffle is 550ah, someone told me 250$ just for tampering (removing baffle),
