hi hello, just bought a FM plate TA400 from a private owner few months ago. COE 8 more years to go. got it resprayed. few wear and tear issues especially the coolant systems. yet, i really enjoyed my ride.

so far not so much of an issue. just replace wear and tear parts. few weeks ago, i replaced all coolant hoses as its already hardened, replaced rusted water pump and thermostat. i think this bike can be serviced at any bike shop, as the parts are usable from other honda models. the parts can get at FJT shop at rowell road just before mustafa.

 

one of the difference between the 400 and the other bigger models is the air filter. although both filter can fit on the bikes, the 400 air filter has a small hole in the middle whereas the other bigger model has bigger holes. i bought a new TA 600 air filter thinking it would would work for the 400. when i try to open full throttle, the bike pulls back as if she cant breathe. so i replaced with the old one and it works fine.

 

right now, im observing my spoket and chain.

 

unfortunately, the 400 air filter has already stopped production. so im going to find other sources.

Hi,

Recently bought a TA 400 as well. Hoping to just renew the COE in future.

Friends criticise me coz it's a really old bike and not many in Sg. Parts will be hard to find as well.

Hope to meet other TA owners so can share the not so lonely road.

I think should be no problem coz last time my friend ride Ducati monster 400 but engine is 700 cc

They cannot detect anything unless they open engine up. But must be careful.
