Hi SBFians,

TIA, I humbly seek the advise of my fellow SBFs here, between a 2011 Kawasaki Z1000 or 2011 Ducati Monster 796?

I seek your advise in the following; (they are priced the same - even though is a 1000cc and the other a 803cc)

1. Ride

2. Durability

3. Servicing cost

4. Long term value

My previous bikes, Suzuki GSX 750, VFR800

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like in terms of servicing the Kawa Z1000 is a safer bet compared to the Ducati M796.

I wonder if any bros whom have ridden both rides to give your advise.

it comes down to passion & interests. A kawa is a kawa & ducati is ducati u noe wat i mean? anyways i'm waiting for my green z1000 to come haha...would love to ride a ducati but for now i can only afford a kawa. BUT that don't mean the Z1000 is any less of a bike than a ducati. it's a great bike...

At Loois, the Ducati 796 is 28k and the Kawa Z1000 is 27k.

Was recommended the Z1000 by Mr Lee base on my riding profile, he says long term servicing not too painful also and more power and smoother ride. But at 27k way too high for me to consider.

Between these 2, get the Z1000 (more for less). But TBH, if you want a proper Monster, get the 1100 ..
