Hey guys, Something for you to luff at... :cheeky:

My oil lamp lighted up when my mileage hits 1000km.

Normal right?

THe abnormal thing was that I tot it'll go off automatically.

From Clementi till Bedok the Red light was flashing. It's half way on the expressway that I saw the reset oil button. haha

Donno got ppl mistaken me for TP not. cos bike's pearl white den got a flashing red light. Ok la quite exaggerating, the red led so small only. But it was damn distracting.

Any of you guys free this sat & living in the west? Around 12+ to 1+ will be good.

Help me kick start, teach me the technique... I kick till bike wanna fall still can't start. lol.

--Lvin--

The blinking light is just a reminder that you need to change your EO. That goes on for every 1000km... But if u use a fully syn EO maybe can last 3000km. If u lazy 5000km also can change.. :cheeky:

This I understand, the joke was I tot it'll disappear by itself. haha.

The red flashing light was rather obvious in the nite.

Lucky I saw the reset oil button. Else till today I'll be like wondering why it didn't stop flashing. :faint:

Thanks shark i'm not selling it anymore

GUys i've tried to diy on the bike..

Adjusted the Idling..u can excess it by lifting up your seat and you will notice a big hump near the hydrulic damper.Lift up the "carpet" and you can unscrew the cover,Then u'll have access to the Screw controling your idling.Mine was 1.8k adjusted to 1.2--be sure not to set it too low or the engine will be difficult to start or the idling will be inconsistent.

The plug can be accessed by removing the piece of plastic on the left side where u put your legs, the scalene triangluar shaped depression. Its near your drinks holder, that plastic is snapped on so be gentle with it.Take it apart and u can excess various stuff like fuel lines, crank case air intake tube and the spark plug.

From what i observe the frame is hollow. And various hoses connected to it for air intake.Eg the crankcase air intake tube draws it air from the body frame. The fuel line connects to a device that splits out to two different pipes that connects to the carburator.when i tried to pull out the 2 lines..there wasn't any no fuel flowing out,but there's the smell.Maybe the fuel has been vapourised in the Device.

I changed my Eo and GearOil at 350km.Feeling guilty of not following the running in procedures.i've been ravving up to 8+K..and travels at 6.5-7kRPM.

The engine oil the bike came with was Blackened and has seem to lost it's viscosity.whereas the gearoil is very thick but still slightly contaminated blackish,it feels thicker than the oil I'm using GPR 80 gearoil which is SAE80W.i was unable to remove the oilfilter as i've spoilt the nut by turning it in the wrong direction :giddy:

Ah and btw i think the salesman bullshet about only the special magnet behind the key will allow the keyhole plate to be locked.I think the magnet is there so the repulsion will push the key out so u easily remove the key after using the keyhole Locker.

It was fun getting to know the bike better! :lovestruck:

Gd job done there........

BOut the bolts n nuts... better becafeful, n try minimise using adjustable spanners coz it doesnt hav much grip on the nuts......

Unlike naked bikes, the vital parts of the sccots are mostly sealed inside of the bike. So, even though a simple change of spark plug would realli dismantle the fairings, similar to our sport bikes, but a bit more troublesome with thz fairings...

Btw, i was told by SYM agent, even though the bike is warranty till 1yr(unlimited mileage), but once u modify any part of the bike (installed stereo, exhaust system, etc) , ur warranty is void. So, better check 1st with the agent for recommendation b4 changing.

Innitially i asked bout installing a stereo set for my gts, the agent warned me if anything happen to the cdi or any electrical damage, they will not cover for it coz the stereo set will tap on to the wiring of the bike. Indirectly, it will affect the engine performance. Tempted to install, but afraid of the consequences.

Maybe its juz me who always wanted to b on the safer side. Though its kindda logic to tink bout it, but i'm not sure how often bike break-down due to insufficient voltage supply to cdi etc. Better be saFE then sorry...........

On the other hand, some of our x9 bros hav installed stereos on their bike. Bear in mind x9s dunt hav kick start, unlike us. I wonder if their batt is dead.... even though normally, they power up their stereo when the engine is running.....

After waiting for so long, my bike is out.

The ride is great and i love the performance of the bike.

Hope to see more GTS rider out there

Its the length that is the problem.. Not wat ever sh*t in the key.. It dun have YISS or HISS system.. So its safe to use those keys.

Yup.. Its the shop next to regina. The key cost me $4. But the finish is not beautiful as they need to file it. So for me it will only be a spare.. Unless u can find those rubber thingy that can be place on the key lar. Its file long enough so that when i push in to handle bar lock. It will not be stuck and scratch my key hole.

$4 is cheap enuff to minimise the hassle if the key is loose. According to sym agent, >$10 for a new pair of key. exactly the same as the ones we're having now.

That will only be useful if we often lock the key hole. If not its just a waste.. Wat i'm looking for is a nice long enough key.. So no need to file till so ugly..
