yep... i seen the samples already.. m keen on them.

 

yes n hopefully the accessories will b in soon too.. looking forward to take a look at how the pilot or so call fog lights will look on the bike.

So far the only blue GTS is u and me hehehe

 

did not see the sticker but was looking at u at the cross junction at this speedway motorshop there, but u were concentrating at something else

 

Maybe one when all the GTS meet we can have proper introduction and to all the GTSer

I am using royal purple the feelings is quite close to Castrol RS

 

Like ESSO gold alot (minus bad experience) but dare not try on my GTS. But just based on some of my 2cents thought.

BTW, after I went to Speedway, I went to IMM to buy a car's door guard to place near the pillion's foot rest (My wife's shoes are always knocking against the fairing behind the footrest). After buying it, I went back to where I parked my bike. I then squatted down and started to find a good place to past the door guard. Suddenly my wife shouted (She was quite a distance away from where I was) that the bike I was going to paste was not mine. With confidence, I told her that if that is not my bike, then which one? The 929 parked behind the bike? Hehehe. Feeling something amiss, I checked the number plate. To my surprise, it was not my plate. My bike was behind the 929. What an embarrassing moment for me. A few uncles and aunties were there and were laughing at me. The bike's colour was the same as mine. Hehehee. Now before hopping onto the bike, must check the number plate first. Hehehehe

Hello everybody!

 

Intro : I've been using 2nd hand joyride for past 3 mths. Rode about 2000plus km alr. Fellow lady riders Wolverlne and Little Devils (hope i got it rite) glad to know I not the only joyride female!

 

Problems :

1) bike is very very jerky at 70 and 80km/h (feel as if riding on horse)

2) accelerate like ah pek

3) now on expressway, i accelerate full trotle alr but stil only go 60km (waiting to be hit by lorry only)

4) it's eating up my petrol (or more like my $$$) like xiao. Mileage is only 19km/L le! Cos i'm counting the mileage i put in only6L and must pay Mobil a visit every 2days!

 

 

History: Today i so xian until feel like selling off liao though i know sure loo-gi but aft i c this forum i think stil got hope!

 

Conclusion:

Qing ta jia duo duo zi jiao!

aiyoh... had a similar experience back den when NSR SP first launch in singapore..

i managed to secure one from the first batch that came in...

was alone though... parked at tampines mall... shop for some supplies and realise running late to go back camp..

the best part is i mounted someone else bike inserted the key n got a shocker when i cant turn the key... den the owner rush over the other side of the carpark and confronted mi... thats where i blur lor... apolegized liao.. he still keep glaring at mi...

den i realise its on the other lane.. so paiseh and a bit scared cos that guy really pissed off and was blabbling at mi as i left the carpark..

 

was told by bikeshop at that time probaly around 10 reg on the roads...

cant imagine like that also can run into each other

i just changed my EO at kenny's place tis evening..

was recommended castrol RS and i had no idea wat to use so took it.

 

i tink it felt much smoother den b4 the EO change, i change the gear oil too.

 

btw, i dun know much abt scooters, izit normal that the bike kind of vibrates a little as u move off... not too sure if its bcos i dun dare to rev hard when moving off due to running in... wat rpm do u guys normally move off on?

 

i usually try to move off at 4-5 rpm n the bike seems to vibrate for a short distance as i pull away... after that den the engine go very smooth le...

izit normal?

 

duno if u guys understand wat i trying to say...

or maybe i getting used to the bike liao ... den reving harder to move off as teh days go by...

I think there is something wrong with your bike....Go for a check up asap...Btw, whats the total mileage ? cos my mileage around 14k but its still doing very well...my bike characteristics..

 

1) Feels jerky when pushing 100km/hr...so normally I do 80 only...

2) Acceleration not as fast as X9 or gilera runner but quite decent...

3)My fuel consumption stabilize at 28-30km/ltr for the past year

 

So in general i think there is seriously something wrong with your bike so may need to repair at bike shop...

Wa bro u so power..u only got the bike 2days earlier than me now u've finished running in??i'm still like halfway man!U missed sports bike too much already huh~i also went over to Speedway today,Leonard went sen sei therapy lol.

 

 

u know..giant is selling those mobil-1(auto) sae 10w30 fully syn oils for like 10bux each.What i personally believed in is that since the scooter doesn't run as hot as a 1lit high power bike,the engine oils doesn't get so hot as to benefit from 15w50 oils.

the sym manual also recommended a 10w30 or better oil.From what i know w30 oils tend to make your bike noiser but improves economy.only SAE Xw30 or below oils can meet the stringent requirements to be labled as energy conserving.

Oh and does anyone else's GTS have this FUEL guage update problem?my fuel guage has 3 bars left when i hit 220Km i was thinking how come the bar didn't drop(from my previous top up a bar lasted me about 70km) then i tried to off the engine and on it again it dropped to 2 bars.That was when i stop and idle for a while on main stand.It can't be so coincidential that when i off my engine and on it again my petrol drops just nicely a bar.That happened twice already.

Hi idsaraa,

 

I think your problem is not to difficult to solve. There are a few possible reason that ur bike is not as good as new. The list of problem are

 

1) The roller and belt over use. It should not go over 10000 km if u often pillion ppl.

 

2) The irregular service of the bike.

- Engine Oil Change

- Oil Filter Wash

- Air Filter Change

- Change Spark Plug

- Wash Carburator

- Coolant Top Up

 

May be u can check on those things I list. Hope it can help u.

Ya lah bro, missed my old CBR very much. Now also have to ride my GTS like I ride my CBR. Hehehe. Must drop the handle some more. LOL. One day usually I cover around 60km. So quite fast finished running in. BTW, your R1 finished running in bo? If haven't, I can run-in for you too. Hehehe. Wah somehow, can feel that the GTS is actually quite fast leh, maybe because of the wind since we sit up straight.

I kinda found the new Malossi Multivar partnumber for our Joyride200. I called Simon to ask him to help check it out.

He checked the year 2004 book, but unable to find the partnumber.

But later on he found another fax from malossi, having the partnumber i gave him. I guess Malossi hasnt been producing parts for our bike until of late.

According to Simon, he mentioned to have to pay a deposit before he will wana bring in the item here so that he could test if it fits on our bike...

I guess Joyrider would know about the story of Malossi parts not fitting from Simon himself?

FYI, the JR that Simon attempt to fit the Malossi parts belong to yours truly....

Had the same experience on my old JR200 and current GTS

 

Think it will take quite awhile to update. But when on the move it normally updates quite accurately when the bar is about to drop.

Hey Guys,

 

I've a rather troubling problem.

There's this cat at my MSCP which fancies my bike so much so that it slps on my seat every other night.

It has a problem of shedding lots of fur on my seat, also it leave some patch of stain on it.

Afterwhich, it'll leave my cosy bike without paying for the stay.

I've wasted time & effort to clean up the bike b4 I ride, to the extent of almost being late for work. I dun wan cat furs sticking out of my butt when I reach my office.

 

Covering the bike will welcome them due to the heat trapped, hence I don't cover.

Any possible solutions?
