Buying Bike with No license

For mod, he can always get it towed via van/pickup to the bikeshop. He doesnt have to ride it.

Towing is a better idea. Rather than ride without license cross border, erp gantries and get caught. Then that would be more troublesome.

Update to #18, I just cleared my Class 2. Will need to go down in person with the licence and original insurance document to add my name to the cover for a fee and I can then ride the bike. Finally...

The fee to add my name (as policy holder) to the insurance cover (with my friend as the named rider earlier) was only $25+7%GST... I was surprised there isnt any additional premium to be paid... I was told just to pay the admin fee to add the name, thats it....

 

Good luck to those who also have to go via this route to get their bikes before having the valid licence. Cheers.
