my bike already have an engine rev light but i find it difficult to see. i thought of soldiering an extra led (maybe to a mini led touch light) and place it where i can see properly. the problem is that i need the spec of the original led used for the indicator to begin with.

anyone know how to check the spec like watt or amp of the original led so that i wouldn't blow up my meter pcb board.

If you can open up the meter panel (get access to the LED), u can use a voltmeter to tap the 2 legs of the LED. Then powering up the bike, u should be able to measure the voltage across the LED.

With this voltage, u can go to Sim Lim Tower, level 2 or 3 shops selling electronic components. They will show u where to find that particular voltage's LED.

thanks i measure it at 2v. now is to make my way down to sim lim to get e led.

btw normally those led torchlight come with 4 small batteries which i guess should be 6v. so if i wired my original 2v led to the 6v torchlight, will it become to dim or acceptable?

the LED torch's 6V might have its orientation in a 'series' connection, might be the same 2V LED.

Best to noe how the circuit runs before confirming thou...

else would be juz plain wasting $$ replacing LEDs
