errrmmm... that day Mr Loh followed me around he told me my faults but somehow still didnt get it corrected.

 

Figure 8 he said i turn the handle bar accordingly but still dont bank enough so cant go fast enough

 

crank course he never say anything about it. Just ask me to release the clutch slower and turn more throttle. Crank course i think its because too long never do.

for fig 8, i think the eye pt is very impt....

 

for me, i will look sideway instead of forward...

 

for example, if i need to bank in left, then i will look at my left kerb....this helps me to bank in more.....

yep i feel i banked quite low already but he said i still dont bank enough or i can go faster.

l last time also like that, but after few practice, i become more daring.

sometimes during RC, i will bank alot and buay the leg protector against the ground. utill 1 of the instructor saw me doing this, stop me and tell me off..

for 2.1 & 2.2... i took twice... i score 80+ for 2.1.. then for 2.2.. i only got 50+.. borderline pass..keke.. same for 2.3 & 2.4.. all bordedline pass only...

 

as for the riding lesson... i only enrol in late june.. which is after my exam liao ah... at the time being.. i m wait for result.. so havent take class.. intend to c how i do first then decide lor.. if fail.. i will self study n try again in dec..

First day lah......bo zhai lorz......raining liaoz...sianz 1/2 so din go out again dat day.

 

Yest went to warm up bike in carpark.....noticed de petrol tank empty liaoz (hmph the ex-owner nv top up at all....left 1/4 tank at least better mah... ) ...engine sound funny so change to reserve tank....bopian lah.....have to go out pump petrol....notice oil dripping out at bottom earlier, but tried brakes all dat all fine, but den a bit worried so went to look for motordiam.....try my luck since sundays most are closed.

 

Found tis uncle at one still open motordiam.....he look over den say my bike no problems lah coz he saw my face a bit worried....but thing is quite some things loose....de gear lever very loose.....sekali ride halfway drop off den how...den he tightened up some other parts...

 

Surprisingly quite nice 2 me....he talk quite long to me abt some of de parts lor...how to see brake pad worn anot.....den help me lub chain...nv charge me anythg altho...if he want to carrot me also somehow can find excuse...but he din....later on went to ride around a bit.....but super big road-hog so juz stick to left lane let pple overtake me lor...

 

Sianz HDB branch closed on weekends and after office hours..how to buy season parking liddat

 

But i muz say i will hope can become more zhai. One stretch of clear road going down increase speed a bit faster and de wind blowing by....feel quite shiok lehz!

U seasoned rainy-day rider lehz! Hehe...seasoned wif rain, dust, dirt and smoke from de road...not salty like ah jim...... For me, prob will not cause sickness...coz if raining now prob will let bike sleep in car-park....but if outside bopian have to come back asap.

 

Muz get gd rain-gear also.....it's juz dat day de rain very chilly and wind blow until so cold somemore....

 

De motordiam uncle told me mebbe tyres need to change soon, riding in non-rainy days still ok....but in rainy days muz watch out....but still shld be able to last some time.....i thought he trying to carrot some $ out of me...but i myself examined also saw de middle thread is relatively worn...only de side treads still ok....so....for de nxt few months till change tyres hope to ride in dry weather if possible.

angel gal, totally understand what u mean abt all tis...but i tink for us all and mostly others too....learning bike is done part-time and not full-time (those who can are lucky!) like for me and ah jim.....after working go lessons...nv eat all dat....for me weekends wake up early to go biking also....hehe for ah jim he still but i guess when he wake up in de afternoon he will aso go Also got other commitments to balance....sometimes cannot cater to family also...mum scolding me dat everyday nv see me only when i come home to eat/bathe/sleep...morning go work again...

 

Others like evian also got studies also...but mebbe not so xiong if they can time it during holidays......

 

I admit studying is a mental burden coz u want to do well....but have other stuff on at de same time aso cannot concentrate...i myself nv went to take license while schooling.....cls 3 took b4 uni, cls 2b now take while working but still xiong....i felt dat i needed at least some time and mental energy to do all dis and license best is concentrate and clear asap....if i was studying mebbe i also don't have discipline, time or energy to clear as fast as i juz did..

 

Uni dat time aso busy lah.....studies....got heavy cca commitments...somemore in my year 1 went to train for IVP tournaments....train abt 3-4x a wk.... go home liaoz aso dun have mindset to study. But still muz have de discipline to continue..

 

It's true sometimes we want to achieve our parents' aspirations...also a big burden to carry. But we also have to find some meaning in what we're doing..otherwise there is no point. Do you look forward to upgrading yourself and getting a better job in future? Do you feel dat hence tis is worth it?

 

Like 2b liddat...for me, it's my aspiration so i stick to it altho like most pple saying now after initial few months it's quite sian...especially when come to assessments like lesson 5 and 8 ....it's quite normal....times like tis u need your goals and de reasons for doing them very clear in your head....den it will help u pull thru difficult times.

 

If your parents helping to sponsor...mebbe u can cut down a bit on part-time work to study...later still can pay them back when working....of course i will encourage u still for 2b, but ultimately it's up to you to prioritize your time and de things impt to u.

 

School-wise, if can try to get a tutor...or if claudia dun mind helping and advising u den u are in a gd position also gambatte!

Don't worry. I don't play wif my life. Tis i also told de uncle at de motordiam when he commented on my tyres...coz he say it's up to me coz some pple also dun wanna change when tyres botak. Coz my life is not worth a pair of tyres. He also told me dat tyres still usable juz dat prob need to change in few months.

 

Will go change when it's time. Now tyres still relatively usable...brakes are working fine and for me still new on de road...won't ride very fast and will try not to ride too much in wet weather if possible so shld be still ok.

 

Tyres will change to a good new set prob in de next few months. jhOng u mentioned got lobang for insurance? Can share-share? Mebbe nxt time can change over when my insurance expire later on

Ah min u muz gambatte! And try your best! I dunno lehz mebbe different pple got different mindset.....but for me....I always go into assessment like Lesson 5 wif de hope and determination to pass. I also got this extra mindset, if so suay dun pass, muz learn what went wrong, den nxt lesson sure can pass.

 

Of course after dat don't pass very disappointed and wanna lah...But nxt few days after recover frm disappointment liaoz....I also very focused...go RC, bring my assessment sheet and approach instructor directly, "Sir, this is my previous Lesson 5 assessment sheet, can you have a look and tell me how to improve? I also feel i got trouble with this-this-this...can you help me later? Also can you watch me in my other courses also? Did i miss any blind-spot? Please help me out?" This is coz I wanna learn what went wrong and don't want to waste my "energy" keep repeating...it's very draining so best to find out what is wrong or can be improved. Some instructors nice will help u...others busy...but normally will come to find you and check your mistakes after the first 1/2 hour.

 

RC i treat as improvement stage....fall down also nvmind all dat...lesson 5...all ready to go liaoz...no mistake if possible.

 

I think RC is de best to go for practise and trying out...if you feel cannot pass lesson 5 yet for whatever reason, juz cancel and rebook a later date, why stress yourself? Meanwhile go RC lor.

 

Try your best, as long as you practise hard during RC with guidance and concentrate well during Lesson 5, should be ok one!
