I had this problem with my NSRR before. Turned out to be the ignition switch wear and tear, spoil. Riding on expressway at 90 engine can cut off. No lights, no engine power, no signal lights. As if i switch off the engine but the switch is still in "ON". Mech open out the ignition switch and grind/sand it, then after that ok for more than half a year le. At most is change ignition switch for about 100 bucks or so? Check the ignition switch.

Might wana check the fuel line components...

Possibilities:

- carb problem

- reservoir

- pump

- 't-junction' between carb, block n tank

Hello there, what has the battery of a 2 stroke bike got to do with the bike stalling?

Please lah, being bikers here we should try not to misled others with information that makes no sense.

The fact that a 2 stroke bike stalls is becos there is a problem with the fuel delivery system or the ignition ( which for a 2 stroke bike does not depend on the 12V batt) but is actually done by the magneto and coil.

The worst case senario would be his CDI had knocked out, which is rare.

For the problem to occur becos of fuel delivery, it could be the carb, fuel lines blocked, reed valve malfunction.

For the ignition to be the problem it could be the ignition coil, pulsator , stator or even simply the spark plug cap being the cause.
