motorfreak >> EFI or Carb model ?

New EFI abt 22K to 24K

New Carb if Mah still got stock abt 17-18K

At high speed EFI model saves abt 30% fuel compared to Carb

IMHO depends on what u intend to do with bike if Mainly road riding get Vara if intend to do moderate trail get AT lor. If not urgent slowly hunt around for 2nd hand AT coz fuel consumption is much better. If u want to go faster and dun mind burning petrol get Vara

Want lobang for 2nd hand AT go to M-Technik to look 4 GURU Chan

Tank upgrade Kit 4 Vara 49L Euro$1049 excluding freight from Africanqueen website(In bloody German) as well as unknown mods required.

Do consider long and hard coz its not easy or cheap to convert the Vara for moderate Trail riding

Tyre test : Road Dry Tailwind for 1st half of route Slight wind resistance for 2nd half Day time

Bike : Stock Undercowl

------- Tyres Front Tourance (650Km)

-------------- Rear Tourance (1850Km)

-------------- BOX TOP installed and fully loaded

Route : GP (Petronas) KL bound to Nusajaya curves to GP (Petronas) SGP bound

Distance abt 25Km

Seemed OK on the straight up to 160Km/H b4 sliding but curves at Nusajaya I got no balls to whack in case some bloody car cut in at the bottom or top

No of runs : 5

Verdict : Tourance much softer compund than Enduro 4 Maybe thats why start sliding at 160Km/H when with Top box. Might be due to wind too. Will try gain with Steel Undercowl next. Got lost again this time exited out from PTP :cheeky:

As suggested by Kenny more convenient to get Touch N Go card if frequent traveller to GP. However the computer terminal was down when i went there yesterday. Will update again when its available.

ATTENTION to all Vara Bros, my Vara just CRASHED wif a car in JB yesterday riden by my bro. He's fine but not the Vara. Will be towed back to S'pore this evening. So now I need all the help & advices frm u guys in rebuilding back this bike. :help:

1. Is Chan M-Teknik, Jln Wangi, the best person I shld send the bike to rebuild this bike as he's able to get the parts for me? Smicerboy mentioned M-Teknik may have shifted. Can anybody confirm this?

2. Or shld I just send the bike to my regular mechanic, Planet Motorcycle at Ubi & order parts frm Chan? Or u guys have other suggestions?

"Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window."

Whats damaged ? And what type of insurance cover u bought? M-Technik has shifted to Paya Ubi Industrial Park. Parts get from FJT but be prepared to wait coz they have to order from Spain Best person to ask is our dear technical director ELWS :thumb:

Have not seen the bike yet. Heard that front tyre rim broke, left fairing broke as it fell to the left, fork affected. Will describe in details once I've seen the bike later. My insurance is TPFT fm NTUC. No chance to claim rite?

"Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window."

Most likely this is my plan. Tow the bike to Mtech. Get parts frm FJT & get it done @ Mtech. As per some of u guys recommendation, may need Elws help on this matter.

It's Malaysian car/driver, Proton Wira. Police report made over there & my bro was fined RM$300 as they said it's my bro fault. My bro said it was a 50-50 accident & they met head-on. Fine has not been paid yet though. He has checked w some reliable source. The car may not be able to claim frm the bike. The policy over there is if a car & a bike involve in an accident, cars can't claim frm bikes. Yet to confim if this is really true. Any of u ppl have any idea abt this?

And shld i make a police report in S'pore. Will police report helps in anything?

"Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window."

Not sure about the claims. If unsure can always check with TP, its quite near to M-Technik. Wheres d bike now? Head on ??? Our bike so big the bloody driver cannot see  Call Chan at 98209401 or Chua at 96803256

Even if can claim, dun thk I can claim frm NTUC. Mine is 2nd party insurance. Bike in Jb moto shop. Shld be towed back this evening. In process of checking wif them now.

My bro said the car driver got shocked at the sight of the big bike that she started drifting left & so does my bro whc ended up head-on. If my bro doesn't drift, the car will hit the side of the bike instead of front whc may cause serious injuries to my bro & the pillion, my sis. Thank God they are fine & amazingly no cuts or wounds on them. They suffered sprains & swells on some parts of their body.

LATEST NEWS > Bike will be back tomorrow evening.

"Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window."

Is d road one lane and/or single way? If so ur bro should have kept left rather than follow the car. If he had done so it will be the driver's fault, by going in the same direction as the car it should be his fault. I should think having a headon collision is more dangerous Thank goodness they were only slightly injured
