91 no noticeable lost of power still the same amount of RPM required at

same speed. Maybe hard acceleration got difference but I almost never

whack the bike hard on long trips.

I cruise at 100Km/h mostly.

Only time I cruise at abt 140km/h is between Hatyai and Hua Hin where

there is not much scenery except for a large statue of a bird on the left side of the road along the way.

Going fast in Thailand forces you to concentate on the riding too much

I rather look left and right to enjoy the scenery. :bounce:

BTW when crusing at 100Km/h constant the bike can clock abt 380KM b4 fuel warning light comes out. :thumb:

so less fuel stops resulting in abt same amount of time used when covering long distances

Just go and service bike b4 trip and not wait until come back to do it.

Change new sparks (Iridium), change engine oil and wash the K&N filter

dun cost much lah.

Given that BKK situation has stabilised go by route 4, 9 32, 1 then 11 to Chiang Mai for d fastest way up.

SimplyBoChap,

Thks for the guide, but I just worry we will be "Holland" in BKK as I can't figure out the actual route from the map.

From the map, I can onli see that we nid to go into BKK by route 4 then out on the other side by route 9. I just hope to figure out the actual route than to search for the entrance & exit of BKK.

The other is from my map M10, is it faster & shorter to take the route 106 than route 11 to chiangmai?

Maybe u can show us one of these days during a coffee meet. Thksssalot!!!

>>>>>ATwin, Melaka trip, I on pending, will let u know asap..

Wrong you will not be entering BKK at all. Route 9 is an expressway ring around BKK. 4 then 9 then 32 is the actual route.

Exit from route 9 look out for turn off to ayyuthaya.

106 is slightly shorter but not faster route 11 is d major road to CM use it to bypass Lamphun

SimplyBoChap, If we take Route 4 to 9, from the map above, which is the correct route to continue, I can't see the indication on the map, do we nid to turn or just follow the route on the map up?

Posted

I repeat again You need to turn out to Route 32 / towards Ayuthaya

It should be the blue line in your map. Atwin should be using the same map as me Use that much better details

If you just follow 9 straight all the way you end up on eastern edge of

BKK to go to Chonburi aka Pattaya HAHA

Roger that! The Blue making is our route, so its shld be the route we see above.

Thks SimplyBoChap.

SimplyBoChap>> If we move off from Hua Hin at 7am...what time can we reach Chiang Mai...

ATwin >> Eh bro pls dun ask me this type of qtn lah unless u wanna kena chak jialat jialat with replies like how fast can you ride ? :cheeky:

Alot in trip thrills kena b4 whether in open forum or via PM.

Anyway :

Never try b4 on d way up, entered CM by laos and NE Thai, so cannot tell for sure.

CM south to BKK Depart at 8AM reach abt 2PM at the outskirts b4 Kena holland inside BKK. abt 700 KM

Riding abt 120KM/H

So i guess since abt 1000Km between Hua Hin & BKK wii take abt 12 hours on 120KM/H with petrol stops. So u reach abt 7 PM lor.

Since 1st time there and after a long day's ride, you might have some fun trying to find d road into the inner moat area where d guesthouses are.

:goodluck:

Ehh pasieh to interrupt but I think your plans abit off focus. I believe your coming trip is abt exploring N thailand ?

If that is so Spend more time up there instead of wasting 1 day of R&R in Hatyai and 1 night in KL. These 2 places easily done for 3 or 2 day trip respectively so IMHO dun waste your precious leave there.
