thanks lyeheng! It's ok now. Fixed the leak in the originals but after my ride to ipoh last week, not much of a damping left...haha

dude, if u need the pipes, u can try leo vince at garry loois, now he is d distributor.. i dunno how much is it, but definitely more cheaper den others. much much cheaper..

Hey... thanks Riddick, went down to Gerry Looi, and spoken to the nice malay guy, but the only problem is the waiting time, at least 2 months or longer... :confused:

Hi guys,

 

Just an invitation, if you guys are interested to join for a short ride to Ayer Hitam on May Day (Tuesday).

 

Going to visit (more like ride inside) Animal Institute (something like a farm) and also Gunung Belumut Waterfalls. After which drop by Ayer Hitam Night Market to shop some snacks before hitting the highway back. There will be other riders Varaderos big n small, Vstroms...

Atwin >>> rode the bike to thailand for songkran n tested fraser's hair pin corners... so far very satisfied with the performance..

the only thing i cannot tahan is the vibration at the front when travelling btw 180-200 km/h.....presume it is lacking in weight at the front and not very stable...

 

anyway just saw a FI and a carb model varadero side by side a few weeks ago...

the difference in size is very noticeable..

but the fat carb model vara looks more comfy to me...

Hi Guys, my vara is finally ready....new windshield, new crashbar, new fairings, new fog lights, new fender and new top box.. 95% restore. still got 2 stuff waiting for the stock to arrive. Will upload the pixs of my bike. So anyone interest for this coming ride organise by Al-Simmons.

Both bike are so closely matched in every way...

Things I have read and picked up from other people are:

The Vara is more stable at high speed criusing... probably due to the fact it is heavier then the Vstorm.

The Vara wieghs 235kg dry and the VS 207kg dry. Maybe u can invest steering damper on it...or have you try to add on a cross bar on it or add on aftermarket balancer. My friend also have this problem when travelling at high speed.

awaiting to get a fork brace....that should solve the high speed problem...
