sure kana reject!! long weekend sumore. afterall.. April i might be going to koh samui... ride, race and relax.. gonna be an endurance ride!! gona participate an enduro race there...! depart Tues nite and arrive samui on wed eve, race on weekend and depart on Monday morning so Tues eve reached hm liow..... so if there's somehow any ruggard enduro wana be like me interested of going, maybe all can met up and see how lor...

 

with all that.. still duno how's my leave duin nw!

 

Planning to stay in koh samui then a nite stay at KL!! so wont be that tiring at all!! only me and AJ going..

the seats now will take a long time...in 2004 can take 3 days..

 

now can take a week..and with a lot of guys doing, will be even longer.

 

As for the places to do the seats, there are many in Hatyai. Turn left after the yamaha showroom into thamanoonvithee Rd and you have one shop already.

 

The bike shops are congregated at Prathon Uthit Rd, esp great for pple who loves accessories and have kubkias back in singapore.

 

I have 4 extra hatyai maps. typical s'porean la...can pass to u guys if u want. anyway, if Atwin gg, den dun worry liao la...

2. i did more stops cos wanna accomodate each other's riding style,

thus stop every

 

3. thai insurance costs around there; did mine behind Hatyai Rama Hotel cos its cheaper than in Sadao,

but if u aren't going anywhere further, no need to purchase la cos your current insurance covers up to 30 km after Border...correct me if i'm wrong...

 

4. Didn't get to do any corbin seat the last time cos not enough time...they need at least 1-2 days i think

yeah, Last Caltex northbound is Bukit Kayu Hitam

 

think my insurance costs less than that, furthermore for 1 month; can't recall; later go back and check for u guys

yup...the insurance shd be cheaper...sadao's is one of the more expensive ones. U can even get from Gurun.

Sorry guys won't be able to join u guys for the Hatyai Trip....Leave from Ministry of Home Affairs cannnot approve it....driving to KL with family. Maybe i can meet u guys at KL, if u guys staying at KL..just give me a call or sms me. I try to input as much info as i could remember the important pointer.

 

We usually stay at Sakura Grandview because of well secure basement CP for our bike & don't even bother to cover our bike. 2nd sty will be the massage centre...enjoy solid 2hr for just only 240 baht, if purchase voucher at the travel agency (just across the road of the basement CP entrance) cost u only 200 baht. Seat wrap for the bike, i would said wormanship 8/10 (no choice, because they can manage to finish the seat fast). About 10min walking distance to the shop that do car seat wrap, along the road u will passby few bike shop and shop that fabricate number plate. If possible, bring a sample copy of the seat wrap that u want...if i not wrong, they still keep it a sample during our last seat wrap. Seat wrap will be ard 850 baht.

 

As for insurance, confirm with NTUC policy...Under Geographical Limit

" This policy does not insure any accident, loss, damage, injury or liability arising outside West malaysia, the republic of singapore and that part of Thailand within 80.5km of the border between Thailand & Malaysia."

Distance from Sado to Hatyai estimate ard 60-70km...so ntuc policy holder still covered it.

Let me help to work out the rough estimate $ that u need to bring...

 

Petrol stop:

1st refuel plus 4 stop estimated 150- 180RM (Galang Patah----Ayer Keroh--- exit 214 somewhere outskirt of KL for macdonald breakfast ---- Petronas Sg Perak ----- Petronas Bukit Kayu Hitam

 

Pls set a few RM aside for return as well...

 

Hotel Stay: (850 baht per night)

Twin sharing, each paid 850 baht for 2 night stay

 

Makan & R&R & night activities:

Maybe i would suggest a treasuer to collect 1000 baht for each person that pay up all the eating & transport expense..

 

Bike seat wrap:

850 baht -900 baht...or maybe less.

 

Shopping:

Depend on individual's budgets

 

So i would said just change sin 200 for ringgit & sin 200for thai baht...just bring extra sin 200-300 if ur budget exceed...keekeee..hope you guys will enjoy the trip.
