tried 42 once accidentally...cant pick up that much but cruising at top speed was very easy on the engine..

Sorry for disrupting the conversation.

 

I need to buy a whole signal light assembly for my Vara 2002, behind, left side.

 

Actually, it's only the catch at the base that holds onto the light cover has cracked, and now I have to use a rubber band to secure the base and the cover temporarily.

 

Boon Siew don't sell the base separately, so I guess I have to buy the whole thing at $64.

 

If any vara bros here have any second hand extra signal light that can sell me, I will be very very happy.

 

Of course a good price below $64. haha.

 

Please let me know if any.

sorry man..i did not try top speed..or rather..the speedo is not accurate anymore because of the rear sprox. The speedo cable is linked to the front sprox and calculates the rpm from there...so if the rear size is changed..it's not accurate..

 

i changed it less than a week later after realising the mistake so did not push it in malaysia..i like the vara to be high revving...keke

Dude..maybe u can try eversuccess... they bring in mainly honda oem parts slightly cheaper than boon siew.... its located at Buffalo rd (if not mistaken) its easier if u can locate "Chong Aik" at rowell road and turn into the slip rd to "mustafa ctre" (desker rd) ohh... go on normal office hour on a weekday..not at night (kana rape..got lotsa bapok!!!.. or on weekend, got lotsa jaywalker...heheheheheh)

 

Theres oso another shop..FJT but forgoten which rd..as i only knew the way...

 

 

 

if all others fail...maybe u might consider to use african twin or to the extend, xr4 oem signal light. just an idea...

Look on the bright side bro, the new super four ones are a lot cheaper and also you get new indicators meaning fresh crystal clear orange covers. Or since you are at it, why not change to clear covers for that updated look on your vara's end?? I know motoworld has a very good range of clear cover indicators for sale. Very nice.
