Don worry bro, I will bring in some pics from cape town when Iam back on 9th next month.

Sure got vara, cos my friend ship his vara from sing to cape town, I be riding the GS12 for 2 days (booked) in cape town. Will snap pics & put up here.

I be leaving next week, so cannot join u guys to bukit tinggit, but, I'm sure u guys will enjoy the corners b4 reaching. Very nice ride up there, wish u guys enjoy it! &&&& Ride Safe!!

All>> IÂ´m in swiss now....weather here was cool man & donÂ´t feel like coming back to sin next week. If there is a chance to ride in swiss, i think it is a life time experience riding here. Good mountain scenery & mountains road. So far donÂ´t have a chance to see any varadero bike on the street in italy & swiss. Only saw a few gs12, tdm, translap, maybe there is no vara over there on the street. Will update the photo when back. Looking forward the may trip ride too.

Chrislayer>> can't remember the road becos drive up once B4...but one thing for sure, the road condition is much more safer than the road in Fraser Twist & turn road condition.

due to the audit this period, my bike battery went dead last week. so i removed it and bring to bike shop to charge. yes, it can be charged successfully.

1 hour ago, i bring the battery to my bike and tried to slot it back into the compartment below the seat. i discovered i slot front back and back front. so i tried to remove it. the connector which is supposed to be screwed to the battery was accidentally rubbed against the battery metal piece.

the following story is actually in very fast motion....

suddenly, the impact caused small sparks to ignite from the connector.

smoke come out from the side. think it is the rectifier. the component above the fuel controller. on the left side of the battery compartment.

the carpark become so much of smoke.

next, the bottom of my tank nearest to the battery compartment started to catch fire. as big as a cha siew bao.

more sparks coming from the battery connector.

i tried to fan the fire by hitting the bike with my bike cover.

it did not seems to work.

as i hit, i started to worry about my tank. coz it is full tank of petrol.

images of my whole fuel tank on fire, whole bike becomes black. images of me going to say good bye to my bike...

saw the fire hose next to my bike. i ran to it, open the door and took out the hose. and turn the head of the hose.

little water came out on to the bike .. and it stops..

i use my mouth, and blow as hard as possible on to that cha siew bao fire.

finally, it subsided...

i stared at it. worry that it will ignite again.

i took out my handphone and dail 999.

the line went thr and i ask for fire engine telephone number.

i cant catch what the person on the other line is saying.. excuse me, what number ah?

995.. i see.

i did not dail. think when you panick, you cant think well.

i approached my bike and see if any small fire. or spark or smoke.

Nil.

i tried to take out the battery. it felt warm.

i put back my bike seat and cover back my bike.

think i go sleep tonight and call tow tmr.

think maybe some of you will ask me to get a vara instead.

maybe some of you will tell me to let workshop do the battery work instead.

maybe some of you think that as long i am not on fire is lucky for me.

but but..how come no one tell me to get a fire extinger when need it?

think my CDI fried again..

think i stuck in singapore for 2 weeks ba.

Pillip>> Hello bro...interesting story..... Maybe i think there is some current leakage in your old bike that cause the spark. As what i said time to upgrade the bike or send for total overhaul of your >10 yrs AT bike if u want to keep it. Hope ur bike is ok & won't cause you much damage in $$$. There's a few potential vara seller waiting for u...kekeee
