Hey bro, the Varadero 125 is still selling in the shops with a hefty tag. Its still a relatively new bike in the resale market. be prepared to pay anywhere from 4-7k for a decent to a good machine ( depending again on age). If you choose to get the CM125 Custom, then its a very good choice cos there are many old ones to choose from. Some of them that have passed the 10 year mark you can even get for like 1k or so.

 

Yeaaa...someone told me about its price tag and once I heard that, I decided it wouldn't be a wise thing to do to jump right into it haha. Nevertheless, it's very practical advice I'm more than willing to take. Don't mean to go off topic a little bit but could you recommend any shops I can take a look at for the Custom 125CM? I've got this fascination for classic bikes :p

 

And for bikes that are around 8-10yrs old, as a newbie, could I kindly ask if anyone around here is willing to help teach me the 'ropes' so tt I can learn what to look out for when buying a 2nd hand? I want to familiarize myself with bike parts too.

haha i got don didie sms me too late.... i already left office... den i fall asleep at my gf hse. when he told me u all gng for top up its already 12plus... somemore u all meeting at 12.45am. by the time i rush home to take passport too late liao... next time got meet up u sms me earlier lah.. my hp 91553223. :p

wow.. looks like i got un-subscribed from the sms-alerts system huh. i don't receive no meet-up updates anymore. boo hoo. maybe cos GSR not waterproof that's why.

Doing my homework now! Hahaha.

 

Just read up what to look out for and just read up on tips to maintai our bike. The joy is in finding out yourself. Not in everyone telling you what to do and how to do it. Do that and get your knowledge. Its gonna be a fun process. Dun ask ard too much and listen to your mechanic. Never be a smart ESSSS.

 

When you pass, go check out all the shops you can. You might just find something much different or different altogether. Thats the fun of riding,. You learn as you go along. Even we are still learning.

Bro, I picked up 4 element voltmeter (+- 0-50V DC) @ SLT S$ 34 [-12.3] style, also got single elemnt half size for S$1 each to mod for smaller display. I bought one each common cathode & common anode but fogot to mark o_O anybody know how to check as both got no markings.

 

Fitted up my Acumen gear indicator also (server busy so go play in car park), very nice :) , forgot camera will post tonight if the server not busy again :angry:

Vara is gone but back strain lingers on o_O
