Calling all the POC which i have identify,

 

I requires your help, as many as possible.

 

I need to gather bikers for marshaller for the coming National Bike Week 2008.

 

Requirements:

1. Big CC / Look Big

2. Discipline on the road.

3. Able to travel in convoy

 

for the vara125cc, i am sorry. i need the 1000cc.

 

Basically, we will be part of the marshals during the convoy of expect 1000 bikes.

Detail instruction of the convoy will be make known later.

There will be a meet up with the rest of the marshals, total of 80 marshals.

 

This is the requirement from the authority, to have 80 marshal of 1000bike convoy.

 

So kindly pm me your full name contact no., email, bike model/CC compiled within your group. BY 20th Oct 2008

 

The bike convoy will be held on the 29th Nov 2008. make yourself free the whole day.

The Kulai ride was great! The nasi lemak was more like nasi ginger though. hehehe. I enjoyed the extra serving of crispy succulent chicken, which came long after we'd finished our meal. Good food, good fun, good ride, great company. Ride On!

Who"s interested in the Marshalling? I know i am, it will be best to get a few of us who can do it bros. Just to create awareness of the Varadero Adventure Riders Asia being ard. That there is this small group of Varadero enthusiasts in this country. In the process, we might get to grow further. Maybe more Vara owners will join us.

 

But i think we just have to be adamant on it being just the Vara 1k lah. Our smaller cc enthusiasts can join the other groups ard.

Hey guys, for the chendol trip, Just found out that there will be an in house event at Vegas Interior Design on that weekend. i agree with David, its time to take time off and enjoy the bike. I will only be able to confirm on sat if i am going or not. I am however 90% oNs.

OK bros, the culprit for my sorrows the whole last week has been found and arrested.

 

Its a badly burnt connector plug that was causing the issues on my bike. I guess its normal at this age for the bike. I will show the plug to you guys the next meet up. Things are just getting old, dusty and rusty under the hoods and fairings and in the harnesess. Just dun rule it out the next time it happens to you yeah? Its just a 20 dollar fix.

 

Symtoms are as follows:

 

1. Bike engine dying off just for a split second even when you are moving.

 

2, If contact off for too long and then come on again while moving, be ready for the loudest backfire i have ever heard.

 

3. No loss of clocks or resetting of odometer

 

4. Petrol lite comes on as soon as the bike engine kicks back on after that split sec of no power.

 

5. No power ON (NO LIGHTS WHATSOEVER) after key is inserted and ignition turned on. Fiddle with the cables at the side of the steering cone. Lights should come back on. Then its for sure a wiring fault.

 

 

Phi11ip >>>>> How much did the new harness for you cost???? I think you had to bring it in from spain din you? Let me know the damage yeah? and the labour also.

Speaking of the devil.... this also happen to me yesterday at the 2nd link... bike die off while pushing bike to clear singapore custom.... after clearing the checkpoint, turn on ignition switch and press crank switch and poof all went dead... but the clock remains.... check everything including batteries and fuse, all ok.... open up the side panel and wriggle some of the wires and viola... power is back... this goes on everytime i wanted to start the bike.. :cry:

 

Problem is, look all at my connector and did not see any burnt marks... hmmmmm, very scared lah... got alot of touring coming up.... malacca chendol and cameron highlands the week after... will open up side panel and check again this weekend.... :sian:
