Just my thoughts, U guys might wan to bring

1. Some light sticks in case. Those bend it and light up type.

2. A water bag to drink a bit when u feel sleepy (David has it, bro from beach rd hawker)

Some of my ways of going thru NSH.

1. Breathe in deep when u feel sleepy and yawn (Lack of oxygen)

2. Drink water to replenish oxygen, but not too much or feel like urinating

3. Stop for rest even did not reach next petrol kiosk if u nid to like under bridge where there is lights.

4. Stop and rest But not too long, time yrself like 20mins if not the journey gets longer, u will feel more tired.

Monsoon Rain now like yesterday & today, anyone saw the F1 race yesterday at sepang? Rain so heavily that cause the race to stop and they cannot race without lights.

So expect rain, wear appropriately and adequately! Ride Carefully & Safely.

Enjoy yr Trip Guys!!

Its not how much have u done it, its have u did it?http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p290/Tonyzx11/P1000395.jpg

For Thai Border

  • A copy of your Passport (Make sure it's more than 6 months before expiry)

  • Vehicle Registration Paper
  • Insurance Papers

Guys, here are some good tips i learnt from Atwin & DonDidie esp for first timers like myself riding up...

1) Scan & copy of the riding & travel documents. Save it to your email so that you can retrieve the documents in case the documents accidentally went 'AWOL' at the border..

2) Make & bring along spare bike key & box keys. Best place to keep them close to your body; ie: riding attire.. best kept in a small bag..

Just some tips from me guys. See if it works for u....

1) Avoid eating rice during rest-stops as rice tends to make us feel like sleeping next. Maybe can subtitue rice with chocolote energy bars.

2) Drink more coffee as caffeine prevents us from getting our ZZZZs.

3) Whenever feel sleepy just make a signal to stop somewhere safe to get over the sleepiness. Our bodies are all not the same. Esp riding in a group, doesn't mean ur fren can ride on, u must force urself to ride on too even tho u beginning to doze off.

4) Those wif pillions can request them to give u some Thai massage every hr or so. That rub down on shoulders n ur back will make u feel gd n remove any aches u may have. That should also give them something to do else they'll be damn bored. :cheeky: One reach Thai, reward both urselves a full Thai massage.

So guys n gals ride safe, look after each other n enjoy!

1. if you do get lost.... dun worry, just go straight and stop at every petrol station and in no time you will reach the border. i did that on my first solo trip keke

2. some time coffee doesn't work can drink some hot tea if you felt sleepy.

**and no fog lite.. bring along a yellow plastic bag.. cover ur headlight with it, it will help to disperse the light from ur headlight:thumb:. Proven... the MALAYSIA highland village people use to do this. i experience it and cars notice me.. but do drive slowly lah.

Btw... if cannot get the yellow plastic bag, ask any MAMAK shop.. they surely have (or ask ZACK for direction on where to purchase them. maybe he can order by bulk from ebay..khekhekhehk:angel:)

Well written list of do's and don't's. I am so tempted to send all of you off. Please take note choice of hand gloves can also keep you warm during the early morning dawn,3am. Personally I find full leather glove can keep me warm as compared to mesh type.

Is also good to buy 3M reflective stickers from a shop along Ubi (it along the driving route at Ubi) and paste generously on the rear box, helmet, side boxes. Protective armour gear for top and bottom w riding boots is really a must have.Yup all for safety reasons.I agreed w the list.

Oh logcard please remember to bring.W/o that, is a suicide trip and many curses and swears when u reach Sadao. It happens to me once, lucky for me that my bike has not changed then, so their system still has my data. But luck don't come knocking all the time, so really go thro your checklist in great detail.

Friends(girls from The Lovely Tour) in Hatyai says weather is hot and if rain,is dizzle only. Good trip to all of you!!!

guys,

whatever that works for you, be it coffee/chewing gum/clorets/fishermen's friend, do try to stay awake and focus on the road.

a moment of lapse riding thru the night can be harmful not to yourself but also to other road users...so signal and indicate if u need to take a break when sleepy.

finally, ride safe and enjoy..
