I thought it can fix 2, till when 2 worrkshop n had all fairings removed 2 convinced myself it can't fit. N the main stand the mounting also can't fit in. Holes at different position and block by exhaust. Went 2 mtechnix 2 confirm. Crash bars 4 06 model really different. Looks like no choice got 2 buy new ones.any one interested, let me know letting go cheap since of no use 2 me.thks

Bro, I'm really sorry to hear that, wouldn't have sold to you if I thought that was the case, SW-Motech definately state '07 is the change year. Wonder if yours is actually an '07 "Model Year" even though made in '06. Couple of guys PM'd me looking for the main stand also.

yeap, i think its normal thing rajeh,,, on specs, yeah its a 25 litre tank but if you top up from reserve, alot of petrol can go in. I have ever topped up 27 litres, bloody weird. Nothing to lose too many calories over man.

There is no pain greater than not being able to ride a motorcycle....

There is no joy more worth mention when riding one,,,,,,,

nt sure also, niall. I also thought there shldnt b any problem. Seems like the chasis slightly different.btw givi crashbars n h&b crashbars. Which is better?

Posted
If you comparing the both... I think Hepco is better but Givi is cheaper of I'm correct. I may be wrong though. Prob the Vara guys could answer you once they are back from Melaka.

Hepco is slightly thinner than Givi.. its much lighter...

Givi is fatter and slightly heavier.. however, i will not dispute its quality as after being involved in 2 accidents at PIE & BKE with my fatgerl, it is still sturdy..

Just sharing my tots here...

Matter of personal choice really, as Yan said the Givi's are made with thicker walled tube, he can prove it :faint: the German makes seem to be thinner walled but stiffer, perhaps a different grade of steel. If you are ordering I would quote your bike as '07 model year and give the distributor the VIN number in writing, then let them sort it out get your money back if they don't fit, alternatively might be worth emailing all the makers the VIN number and asking them which parts fit your bike. Damn shame those didn't, what are Honda up to, they remodelled the bike in '08 as well o_O

My boxes can go inside PARADIGM's :p, is there such a thing as pannier envy ;)

Chendol damn shiok, 2 bowls all round :cheeky: Thanks Capt. ATwin for organising such good accomodation at short notice.

Go for the touratech, hepco or 5 star crash bar....they are proven much more sturdy that givi....had a minor accident few years back & my givi don't really give a fully protection to the fairings anyways, crack at the side....Tony's hepco crash bar really save him in replacing a new fairing ....Anyway i'm using the givi again...kekee....maybe i still like the design...
