Its a kawasaki ZZR 1400 n a cbf 150

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/brendanchin/balls_1.jpg

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

Bro, how much mileage u clock on current pump? wats symptoms ur bike showing? might be fuel filter or fuel relay... better get ur mech to verify dis or u mite waste $$ gettin one even dou urs works fine..

assuming urs is carb version; mitsu pump cost bet $80-$100( before installed). jst ensure dat wen installed, nid 2 use xtra hoses cuz fitting differs in size..

current mileage 150 plus. Carb model. Mine quite funny case lor..

Handle bar must be straight then can start the bike, then riding is not really smooth, like not giving me enuff power.

Sometimes also rpm not really constent like suddenly at 0.8 then shoot up to 1.3 plus when heated. Is this normal?

Anyway was thinking to buy spare for trips

When is ur last change of fuel pump.....My OEM fuel pump lasted only 25k and breakdown somewhere in mersing. Lucky someone bring the spare AT fuel pump and able to ride safely back to sin.

My present Mitsui fuel pump is ard 45k now and presume it's time for me to change it before the next long trip ride (Better to get all done up rather than stuck somewhere u can't find help or bring extra fuel pump along if u think the fuel pump can last for another few k)...Fuel relay is a must for old bike like us...maybe ard 100k, it's time to replace or bring along for long trip...so far i know joemac, yancurly & recently shawn have this problem too....maybe u can start to change at the same time since ur bike is ard 150k....stator motor coil also need to look for (usually replace ard 80-100k). It's best to replace all those electronics/electrical parts (due to wear & tear )if u want to go for long trip.

As for ur case...maybe u can start to look out for & it's easy for u to DIY urself.

1. Fuel pump failure - Ride on the road & suddenly die off eg..seems like there isn't any petrol supply to the bike...happen once & change the fuel pump.

2. Fuel cut-relay failure - same a above but the whole electrical system will start to black out or clock/odometer reset to zero... Feedback from shawn..maybe yancurly could describle it to us more precise.

3. Fuel filter - Haha..happen to me once before ard 30k. Bike seems like chokage, throttle the bike and suddenly die off..Change a new fuel filter ard sin $13 and bike ok...Maybe the petrol in JB is very dirty....Joemac AT recently breakdown because of this.

Bro Atwin,

Since this is not the first time you going, can you roughly estimate the budget for 2 pax?? hehe... :cheeky:

i think $600 per person will do, (include fuel, homestay, makan etc) just bring extra cash if u think not enough.

Petrol is the killer..... as petrol is ard 35baht per litres = sin $1.5

If u going to bring ur MHA, pls make sure she's is fully equip with proper saftey gear...& lastly she must be able to handle with long distance ride..

Feedback from shawn..maybe yancurly could describle it to us more precise.I Experience it when i was travelling @ 180-190km/hr. Bike seems to choke and occationally a power cut.. inbetween, i slowed down by 20km/hr.. by the time i reach GP toll (lucky VARA and the geng on standby) i was travelliling 70-80km/hr. It suddenly DIED off. WE A:: tot was the fuel pump but IT WAS NOT!! Send for dianostic and what screw it up was the Relay Connector was not in Proper contact. So all the while, i was travelling on and Intermittent connection supply.!

3. Fuel filter - Haha..happen to me once before ard 30k. EIK.. You oso know ahhh.. khkhekhekheke. Yes. Before Play out the Fuel Pump Rule. Check and clean your FUEL FILTER 1st. Or Replace a new one after all it only cost less than $20 the most!

hey bros,

at last got my ride carb 02.. roll it out last week but yet to formally introduce myself ... i am khai btw .. lol

wud like to thank some bros here for filling me in on this beast before i decided to purchase one esp bro atwin , varas and zahid for their help .. sorry if i miss out anyone

wud love to meet u guys one day and learn more from the experts here ..

just few questions on my ride :

1) when i kick from gear 1 to gear 2 , there this "klack klack klack" sound as if its not engage properly but it happens all the time when i kick to gear 2 .. changing to higher gears are alright .. whats the remedy ?

2) i feel the that my bike is sluggish when hit expressway, it feels like "gear 4 but the speed only at 50km/h" ,wrong gear kind of feeling but actually i am at gear 4 and hitting 80 km/h already ...

maybe must let the abang-abang here try my ride , hahaha .. or is it normal ? nvr rode an adventurer before , so maybe the vibrations are normal ...

but have to say am falling in love with the machine :thumb:
