So now you have two sets of keys to use to open the fuel tank/ seat & ignition.. Seems leceh at first to carry but becomes handy wen refueling comes..

I changed my key sets early last year but did not op to change to the HISS due to cost. changed to the non-HISS key ignation type. didnt cost me much compared to your price list.

Now im just wondering if changing to non-HISS one will affect the current flow of the bike or not? cuz current relay will somewhat be affected.

Bro whiplash > is ur nick at FB, Fendz Az? Saw an add to friendlist by Dato vincent at VARA page..

Bro, yup i hv 2 sets of keys - the old key use for seat/fuel tank n the new key use for ignition only. so are u using 2 set of keys too?? yeah my nick at FB is Fendz Az added in by Dato Vincent at VARA page. hehehehe

Hi guys... Currently riding super 4 specII. Thinking a lot to upgrade to a vara. Any common problems I shall know before I get one. Planning to get

05 model. Other than being thirsty, any other

Issues? Does it have the blink issues

Like the blackbird? Ive been reading this thread and seems that a few bros have HIsS issues and wiring prproblems. Please enlighten and hope to join the vara group soon! :)

Hi James,

Actually the HISS is not a big deal. Its usual stuffs when any bike gets older, need attention. To me, if you got a tip top condition bike then theres not much worries. Just maintain it nicely. All bike are the same but VARA is a tank... hehehe

Although you haven't got it yet, let me be the first to welcome you to Vara group. Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!...... Do join us for Kopi session and you can ask all you want, usually held on friday evenin at Simpang Bedok.

Agree. Anything new or old is bound to hv some issues here and there. Normal wear and tear. To be expected. Depends on luck whether u get a lemon or not.

Good luck.

Thanks bros for the warm welcome and honest replies. Agreed on the luck part as well. Got a very well mint aimed super4 when I bought her but conversely got a very bad KtM when I bought the scrambler back in 2010. So yeah. Anything I shall note when I go for viewing like common fault area?

Lastly, what is a fair price for an early 2005 model bros?

hi bros, went to view a vara earlier on.

EFI model. everything looks ok so far.

only the preload adjuster is screwed cause the stem is corroded. is this replaceable? if yes how much? the spring has been changed but the actuator is original.

if its original part, definitely its replaceable. if you want a better riding experience, option to change to aftermarket ones is a wise choice..

Many products out there; hyperpro, ohlins, etc.. just need to find one which suit your budget..

Care to share where you view the bike? maybe some guys here know about the bike.. can help provide some input..

Texted u at ur number bro. But I didn't talk to him about price. But what's a reasonable offer? Based on issues quoted: clutch cable need change, seat rewrap, windshield crack, preload adjuster

Spoilt, full servicing with all oil change needs to be done, tyres and chain and sprockets need change too.
