Ok thanks for sharing.I realise our rear shocks, rust easily.

I will try spraying oily liquid similar to WD40 to lubricate at the same time prevent from rusting.

WOrk comes first.

You should get high temperature paint, but before that best to use paint remover to remove the old paint first.I only know of black colour, white i am not sure.

Before hi Temp paint you need to prime the surface for the paint to 'cling' on properly. Other wise cracks and flaking off will occur.

I most probably want to paint it silver :) but need to sand-paper the exising paint..thats the leceh part..hahax

scared if never remove the existing paint properly den wen spray new coat, will be uneven :(

Btw, meng motor dont recommend me not to chrome the exhaust cover coz Singapore chrome cannot withstand hi heat.

He also say best chroming is to be done at JB.

lol..but i am not into chroming anyways :)

Agreed! Need to spray primer coat first and dry it for 24hrs, after that den can spray the hi-temp and dry it for at least 12hrs :)

Unomomento is an expert in this :D

Silver suits my bike better.:p

DIY either to save some $$$ or due to passion.

You cant have both worlds at the same time.

I beg to differ, best chroming will be in the states. They called it triple plated chrome.Comes with warranty too.:)

After almost two months delay on delivery, my black maxsym have finally arrived :p . I can confirm the latest non-abs model is also equipped with auto light and air vent right above the fuel compartment. Now what dissapoint me was SYM Malaysia's itchy hand they modified the speedometer top speed indicator to 220 KMH wth?!!

Congrats on the arrival for your MaxSym..

Maybe they made changes to the speedometer because it can go beyond it.. :cheeky:

What is the color available in JB?

nah..I doubt it. SYM Malaysia just dont have a clue what they're doing..bikers are not that stupid. They did the same thing last time with the EVO 250i instead of Max 160, the put up the meter face dial up to 180kmh (the actual speed for eg 170kmh on the meter is only about 140kmh) . Available colors at the moment are black, silver and red. Price is abt RM27K OTR

So i am not the only unlucky soul lol.

Go to Mah and claim warranty.

At first say around 2 months, asked the same person again the next few days,he say dont know when will arrive.

The mechanic said when the item arrives,he will call me.End of story, judge for yourself.:)

Not only that,i strongly suspect during heavy rain water will seep through both the front headlight covers.

I took photos and sent to the one of the counter staffs. That's what causes the stains, due to the heat emitted by the headlights.

I was at Mah for the last two days.Met one rider riding a black Maxsym, complained some sound coming from the front wheel.

Checked by the mechanic it was due to the metal brackets which are holding onto the brake pads in the calipers, causing rattling noises.

No safety issues or whatsoever, only irritates the rider lol.

When i showed him the internal cracks,he only said WAH.lol.

@MERCENARY bro, can check with you what was the help given to the rider with rattling noises? cos i think im experiencing the same issues.

2005-2006 : Yamaha RXZ 135

2006-2010 : Honda Super 4 Spec I

2010-2012 : Honda VFR 800 5th Gen

2012-current : SYM MaxSym 400i

What i saw,was the mechanic adjusted the metal brackets, that are holding onto the brake pads.

5 to 10 mins job only.He did mine too i think lol.:)

Been seeing a lot more Maxsym on the roads these days. Rain or shine. Way to go bros and please ride safe. Some of u guys are going at 110kmh on the highway wearing t shirt and shorts!! In light drizzle some more!!

I stand corrected. I do see a few uncles on maxsym also. Bikes damn new but helmets are so old and faded they are almost transparent.

Install already but i get the Partnumber: RC 0510

I connect the Filter with the Pipi and take Stainless Steel pipe to fix it strong. Rubber on Rubber is to easy for take out.
