Anyone's key port spoilt here before? You know how we can open the seat by turning the key in an anti-clockwise direction, well, mine turns but the seat opens no more. HELPPP!

Try this first.....

 

Sometimes it happens when you have too much things in the boot, especially when you have to force the seat to shut, meaning there's an upward pressure against the seat when locked, Push the seat down firmly and hold it there to rotate the key anti clockwise, should release the latch easier.

 

Happened few times to me when I didn't place my fullface helmet properly and had to force close the seat, then the key will rotate and seat wouldn't budge to open.

 

If that fails....

 

Use the electric button. Send to Mah to fix. Probably internal Mechanism failure.

 

Few of us had to get the bike towed cos can't insert key at all.......

 

So be prudent don't self diagnose. Usually a 15mins job.

My beautiful Maxsym just fell into the ground yesterday!

I'm so sad...she was beautiful, just the way I wanted her.

I left her parked with the left stand (without the brake...) and 30 seconds later....BOOOOM! she fell over her left side. My heart just broke completely...

 

Result: everything at the left side of the bike is broken. Even rhe brand new top-case (1 week old).

Happenend to me too when my maxsym was only 1 month old. I parked my bike downwards on a slope and didn't engage fully my side stand. Seconds later boom. :cry: after that I got everything replaced and respray and aligned back all the panels.. cost me SGD623 in total. But Lucky for me my top box was not damaged

Patience and a whole lot of adhesive glue my friend. I cant advise you any better because it took me 3 attempts.

Might I ask where you'd recommend to have the panels aligned and sprayed. Exact same thing happened to me today, dammit! If it was my DRZ, just pick up and go. Replace just a few sliders and viola!

 

Disappointed at how the maxsym withheld a stationary fall. Suddenly the materials all feels cheap.

i think all scooters once fall, sure same problem as they are heavy and bulky, i dropped my piaggio x8 before too, same thing, all deep scratches and cracked fairings..plastics materials..

 

anyway refer to my post if you want to go there to makeover your maxsym..

Ouch! Sucks to hear abt fallen bikes. I did have a few ALMOST DROP situations either wen reversing bike or putting on mainstand. Bike is bloody heavy, so just hv to do things slowly. Take care of ur babies guys! :)

Me too, had drifting experiences after entering basement car park when it was pouring outside. Am glad I have strong legs and good shoes at that time I can force my bike upright........

 

Getting bike up on mainstand is easier than dismounting bike without sidestand IMHO. That's why I see some ppl putting side stand down and lean the bike first. Get off and then main stand the bugger.
